  • I see I've been censored lol

  • BTW people's history is the most boring rag I've ever read.....way to take the fun and excitement out of history

  • @rapiddominace I doubt you read the book, and if you opened it you obviously scanned it with your built in bias, so any opinion you offer is meaningless and should be ignored.

  • What kid would actually pay attention to this boring crusty old guy

  • Howard Zinn's Book is actually very good and historically accurate. He however leaves cetian things out about history to promote his general agenda. (socialism) you should also read larry schwiekarts " a Patriots History" so you can get the full spectrum of american history. I will admit both authors make great points and support their own views through their writings.

  • @GlennbeckFTW well said

  • everybody really should read this book; I will do my best to spread it among people ... join me please

  • I didn't know he was dead. I just discovered his book "A People's History of the United States" about two weeks ago, and I am really enjoying it, and being enlightened in many ways. I looked forward to more from him. Coming from someone who was a typical ultra-conservative, his book has dramatically changed my perspective of the past and the present. His was a life well lived.

  • Hearing this after his death and repeating, in his blunt, funny way the same way I look at history brings me to tears.

We need more historians like Zinn. Don't agree with his statements: see the honest passion and partisan position making him a 'game changer' for tens of thousands of students. My children have had his 'People's History..." as a primer from which to argue and disagree.

I see him as the Carl Sagan of American History. He'll be missed, unlike bobbleheads Limbaugh and O'Reilly.

  • Howard Zinn was a GREAT American...

  • @bbbbmer American?his book seem's like Anti American,and a socialist.

  • @Lukege15 he was a pilot,i admire him, yes. But it is war,his whole entire views are based on what happend. Its really weak.Although he does bring a light upon the bad side of the U.S

  • @urbman29 Anti American and socialist because it tells the truth? Curing a time when the American government is totally corrupt and a captive of the ultra rich and capitalism is just legalized theft, it might be a good idea to open your mind a bit about the real history of the United States, not the sanitized version you propagandized with.

  • @paplanner My sophomore history teacher made our AP class read Zinn's book on the history of America. Its VERY opinionated based on political view.Sorry

  • R.I.P. Dr. Zinn. The world is a darker place than it was with you in it.
