Este es un pasodoble sumamente expresivo, cuando un diestro esta realizando la faena como debe ejecutarse, es cuando uno siente la exprecion de un pasodoble, asi es la fiesta cuando uno la lleva en la sangre.

It is regrettable that the most beautiful (although a bit mournful) of these pasodobles by maestro Lope, Angelillo, is rarely performed.

The playing of this band, despite their valiant effort, leaves much to be desired.

The pasodobles have long survived the fame of the dedicatee matadores, because Gallito (the pasodoble) was not meant for the famous eponymous matador ("Gallito" - Jose Gomez) who died in Talavera de La Reina on the horns of Bailaor, but to his much less famous older brother Fernando, also nick-named Gallito (both children of El Gallo, another matador of the previous generation).

Dauder, together with El Vito, Angelillo and Gallito, all by Santiago Lope, were premiered in Valencia the same day, 29th of July, 1904.

The band was the Banda Municipal de Valencia (not the present one).
