Ok well the time makes sense. This video today was 4:23 minutes long. Shows on tv are at least 30 minutes long. You would have to be subscribed to a lot of people or want to rewatch a lot of videos to get even close to the time spent in front of the tv. And since you personally are giving tech "news" then people usually only watch those once, not several times... Does that make sense?

i think it's ridiculous how people react to sports. i feel the same, there are more important things in life. i had this feeling he'd get flack, but death threats? jeez people. i live in nor cal, i'm not a 49ers fan, but the fans here can get ridiculous at times. relax people, and just enjoy the game. it's called ENTERTAINMENT. sports has no direct influence on your life(unless you make a living from it or some form of it), if it does, then i'm sorry. in the long run, none of it really matters.

I still own a Blackberry, but I am not "stuck" with it. It does what I need it to do, minus unnecessary apps. I'm not saying that I don't use any apps, or that all apps are silly- but I've noticed a trend amongst Android and IOS users of just downloading apps, sometimes hours at a time downloading new apps, just because. The browser might need work (I haven't tried browser on the latest models yet), but everything else on my phone works more or less as it should.

I kind of like RIM and think they have good ideas. I own a Blackberry myself (mainly because the contract is cheap) and really like the look of the new PlayBook. As a developer though, I agree that having four major OSes to develop for is just crazy - RIM should port all of their cool ideas over to something Android based. It'd be awesome and RIM would be back in the real mobile game.

@TheMasterofganja That is my complaint with Android, is how random the OS updates are, but the iPhone just doesn't have the customization of Android (unless you jailbreak it, which I did) and I like having 4g. Another thing I prefer is having a larger screen, but that is up to the person buying it. Plus the Android market has come A LONG WAY in the past 3 months. Renting movies is a huge plus to the android market :D

I think Blackberry OS is a very well made mobile operating system and Palm's / HP's Web OS was as well.

It would be nice to chose the OS for whatever device you have or dual boot them and see what you like better.

RIM shouldn't go with Android or Windows Phone. They need to stop making 50,000 products at a time and focus all their resources on making ONE good product. The OS sucks. Fact! Their hardware sucks. Fact. Maybe they should look into WebOS. I believe that WebOS was so much better than Android because it just felt more finished and less fragmented. If RIM was to focus on one piece of hardware and optimizing that for use with one piece of software, they might actually have a shot.

I actually love RIM! I even own a Playbook. I know they are going downhill since then, but I just love the OS. I can't wait for OS 2 to be release next February, and I think they are in a good spot now. I worked on exchange enterprise for 6 years and the number mobile device was Rim phones. They are/were is to configure. However windows7 mobile has streamlined the process that support for RIM devices will no longer be needed. Its probably wise of them to look into Windows7 mobile and not Android because of the market they like to target. I do on a rooted Android phone and loving it.

RIM should be done. I feel as though the small screens on the BlackBerrys are just no longer doing it for people. And the full physical keyboard on the front of the devices are beginning to die too.
