Atticus Ross created the Touching Evil theme as 12 Rounds. Ross would later team up with Trent Reznor of NIN on the Social Network Soundtrack & How to Destroy Angels.
Jeffrey Donovan has a very moving role in this series, his acting is amazing, the way he played as David Creegan would change the way look at other people, this makes you think, what could you do in this situation, how to know what to do, I have to say he is one of the finest actors of our time, like other people this series made me laugh, made me cry, and appreciate what you have in life.
@eveslmatrix not every1 that get shot n the head dies! it depends on where the bullet travels along w/ a few other things but no point n getting into specifics...long story short not every1 dies from a bullet wound to the head!!!
not to mention ths is tv...u know they do whatever the hell they want on tv shows & movies! ;)
@AussieFan94 I agree with you 100% but still the writing on this show was great and left me wanting more. Oh well burn notice is my favorite show now so either ways USA love Donovan enough to give him another great show.
I watched it because Kevin Durand was sooo cute as Jay Swopes( his eyes make me *SIGH*), then to discover the added bonus of Jeffrey Donovan, who I love from Burn Notice!!!!!
Damn, I liked this series. I saw one episode and was hooked - I liked how the character David was so funny in an otherwise fairly serious drama. Sad it was cancelled.
The soundtrack to this show was absolutely stellar. Atticus and friends really did something special here.
Me wonders if the tracks will ever find their way to an official soundtrack. It will be a great loss if all we get to hear is truncated clips from a handful of epsiodes.
Out of anything scored for television in recent memory , this has got to clearly be one of the top 5 and it is a shame because so few will have ever heard this stuff and god knows what the things sound like in their enitrety and what little gems never found the light of day.
well, after much observation and study (after 5 1/2 min) i have come to the conclusion of why they may have cancelled this show (even though it has the awesomeness of jeff donovan): the director/screenwriter were horrible, and to be frank, ammatures. yes, ammature fits quite nicely ^^
Also, the premise actually wound up being different, rather than just a redo. The lead in the UK series kind of gained capabilities from his experience getting shot, while his US counterpart loses them. It pushes their characters in very different directions.

Oh my god this was another shitty American remake of something awesome. Watch the original British series it's way better with acting, quality, and OH YEAH it's the original. Americans need to quit taking movies, tv shows, and books from other countries and remaking them. And they keep redoing the classic movies and music too. STOP we are so ignorant and unoriginal in this country.
It was produced by Ronald D. Moore. He doesn't DO crappy. Remember? The guy doing Battlestar Galactica. The guy who did Carnivale. And really, the ONLY guy involved with the modern versions of Star Trek at a producer level who knew what the hell he was doing.
This WAS on basic cable though, so the production values were a bit lightweight.
I heard from another youtube post that the music is a remix of the song "a warm place", but it is not the song itself. It was remixed by Atticus Ross and I have looked and so far have had no luck finding anything on the song, I even went to the Nine Inch Nails forum, but no luck.
I'm hearing NIN references about the music in this video, but the music that plays during the very first part of this episode isn't NIN is it? I'd love to find out the name of that song.
It's such a pity this show was canceled. The material was very original and had a lot of potential. Choosing Vancouver as the main filming location really gave the show its mysterious and somber mood.
ANOTHER great series that got cancelled, what is wrong with these networks?! (I'm still reeling about Moonlight - BRING IT BACK!!!)
But, I have to say that crime dramas bring me down. Regularly watching people doing horrible things to each other is just soul-deadening. So even though this one episode seems great, and includes one of the best opening sequences ever, I'm glad to have Burn Notice instead - it's more fun, infinitely more watchable, and it leaves me feeling happy, not depressed!
The only problem was they tried to say it was San Francisco when it was obviously Vancouver. Dead Like me filmed there too and they said their show was in Seattle. That fit. LOL
'A Warm Place' by Nine Inch Nails. It's available on the 1994 album 'The Downward Spiral.'
Also, as a big fan of the BBC version, I kind of wonder why it needed to be remade in the first place, though the US version wasn't all that bad in itself.
The actor of this show is starring in USA's Burn Notice, it looks sick. He has a certain personality that comes out in the characters he plays that make the show great.
Thank you so much for posting this, when I saw it the first time I never dreamed that somthing so good could be canceled. That will teach me ....record everthing I think could be good because you just never know. ;)
I want this video on my 2760 phone.

How can anything starring Vera Farmiga possibly be shitty??! :P
Well, apart from the great cast i actually think the remake itself was quite good either.

What is the song during the first minute? It is not 'A Warm Place'. That plays after the first song ends.
