  • This game made me able to pick my favorite superhero as a kid. That's all it took.

  • I like how plain jumping alone in this game takes skill.

  • One person disliked this video. Probably the Joker.

  • Praise be to Naoki Kodaka and Nobuyuki Hara.

  • 3:48 best boss music EVER!

  • garudoh : how about doing a vid of the Megadrive version of Batman? That game had some great music!

  • I am really shocked about all the peoples who said "this musics are in my top ten Nes music" because I say this music are in my top ten music, all musics categories mixed up

  • hell its Batman.of course it was hard as fuck x 999999

  • whoever is play is damn good!!

  • I remember the coolest thing was that you could jump off walls, I had never seen that in a game till this.

  • <3 this game :D haha i grew up playin this

  • this pretty much defines my childhood.

  • This game was the shizzle. But of course, everyone knew that right, it's BATMAN after all. :D

Don't know why he was jumping about with a gun, haha, but it was still mad cool.

  • I finally defeated Joker last week it only took TWENTY YEARS!!! I am now 28 and to me the satisfaction for beating this is close to top of my list. I've beat all these next gen games with my eyes closed, they walk you through and hold your hand every step of the way. By the way Game Over theme and Streets of desolation best in game

  • Batman had soem of the best music in NES history! And the game was quite rightous itself!

  • They should just realease 'Classic Nintendo' and re-release all the old games and lots of new games for $10-25 each, it's rediculas paying $100+ for a mega man game, eaven if they released it on disc form or shrunk the cartrages, would sill be great, the games that the re-release could have red cartrages and be 'greatest hits' like they do now hahaha

  • Sunsoft put the music chip on steroids.

  • one of the best games ever made

  • Classic

  • most speed runs I watch make me feel like a noob, but this one especially.

  • Nobuyuki Kun is the original composer for these songs

  • That music is epic... Where can I DL it? :D

  • Where is Stage 3 song theme? That one was awesome too.

  • Some of the best graphics ever available for the NES.

  • this game kicked ass

    I remember playing this

    wicked fun

  • I loved this game but I was terrible at it. Come to think of it I sucked at all NES games cause they were so difficult compared to modern ones.

  • The beginning doesnt mess around!

  • That song at 2:30 reminds me of "Bloody Tears" from Castlevania 2.

  • @gladeplugins wow it does

  • @gladeplugins Both that intro and the one to Bloody Tears are stylistic tribute to Bach.

  • awesome music reminding me of my child hood with the nes! fucking hard game though..

  • Pretty much every Sunsoft game has damn good music, this is definitely the best of them all though!

  • games arent what they use be ! and dont have kick ass jams like they did in nintendo days oh how i miss being a kid

  • no stage 3 music?

    boo-urns.

  • Music=To fucking brilliant

    Game=Fucking impossible!!!!

I have never defeated the joker, NEVER!!!! AAARGH!!!!

  • i did lol....but he was a bitch to beat as a kid back then.I was so damn happy but worn out lol. But indeed a great soundtrack ill never forget though. definitely down in gaming history

  • I feel your pain bro, Ive played the game so many times plowing my way to the end but ive never beat him hes so f...ing hard!!

  • @kraeckelium I beat him when I was 10. I'm in my 20s now, and I can barely get past 5-1.

  • @genericsavings OMG You and me both!!! Is there some peak gaming ability when we're 10?

  • @Paxford0502 I think it was our attention spans and the fact that there was nothing better to do on a saturday afternoon. =P

  • @kraeckelium This game was hard. There isn't enough music, but the music is ass kicking enough.

  • @kraeckelium you make me feel proud... as i was able to beat the game. good for me.

  • @JewelOfSoul Haha cool! I did to like half a year ago... man that was hard but finally I killed him. On the original nes btw.

  • @kraeckelium Its not impossible. I defeated joker.

  • @TheGoodIndian I did to, but if you want to I can call it very very very hard instead.

  • This game has one of the bes videogame Soundtracks ever! I've always respected the composers of the 8-bit era, being able to create such masterpieces with the limited hardware of the time.

  • Me too! Love this game.

  • The music in this game was (and is) one of the most brilliant tunes I've ever heard in a video-game!!

  • This music rocks, Batman rocks!

  • Best movie game

  • EVER!!!

  • hmm ya know what youre right seriously

  • Quantum Fighter engine?

  • Love the drum fills in this game.

  • nintendo fav!!!! loved the music

  • oh, my favorite nes game.

  • This is another NES classic that I've never had a chance to play, but all I hear is great things about.

  • u should look for it and play it i have i have also played the master system version batman returns which is hard

  • I am actually trying to track down a copy of The Batman for the Sega master system.

If you have a xopy i think ican pay you to give it to me through ebay.

  • Incredible tunes!

  • I love this game, took a long time to have sufficient skills to beat this one. The music kept me playing.

  • these songs would sound badass on a guitar

  • Croas, check out The Advantage. They are a band that covers old school NES music...and they cover this one very well.

  • o thats cool thanks

  • kick ass!

  • bat man omg ... a sega favorite o.o

  • down tell me that you can finish this in 6 minutes....wth..you are good btw..and thx for posting this..nice game ..downloaded it..Rockzz Respect

  • u know, this game looks sweet, for an nes the graphix r sweet, the music is fucking sweet, hell this game is sweet! kickass!

  • wow are you kidding me its dark and depressing perfect for batman

  • This one is great, but I prefer the genesis version.

  • whole music was sick...gameplay was sick back when i was a kid n still is...but that game over music is sooooo sick...the best of them all:)

  • Ah. Great 8-Bit Music

  • Yeah stage 4 music is awsome! Anyone know where I can find guitar tabs for this batman game? I've tried googling but cant find any.

  • Music of stage 4 is epic!

  • Sunsoft always had great music to their games. The same goes with Blaster Master. The music in this game was great!

  • Best movie game evar (yes with an "a")

  • i think that nes version has better music than genesis version

  • Music to this game is fuckin awesome! The classic NES sounds at their best haha!

  • kickass music to a kickass game

  • My friend has this game.

  • One of the hardest games ever made. It's worth it to see the joker at the end tho, and how he's 2 feet taller than batman, lol.

  • This game wasn't that hard actually. Not even close to being one of the harder games on NES like Battletoads and Ninja Gaiden.

  • nija gaiden and batman togheter..

    oh so great memories x)

  • Thanks you so much for posting this vid, You are awesome! :)

  • best ever i heard

  • boss music kicks ass

  • Best Soundtrack for an NES game. Ever.

  • And the game, itself, was tight.

  • 1:58-2:07

lets say it all together now "Mouth Infection"

  • i dont get it?

  • lol

  • What do you mean?

  • This was fucking epic!!

  • I've never found a game with better music than this one. Seriously, these tunes stuck with me forever. Classic. Would make an awesome track for someone to cover with a bunch of metal riffs and a ripping drum track

  • i love the first lvl song. its the first song that hinted me towards metal when i was a kid:) so im trying to tab it out now but cant figure out what timing its in. i tried writing it in 4/4 but failed miserably. lol so i donno if its 6/8 or some weird timing. or maybe im just too tired to see my mistakes :(

  • You should present it to a music teacher if you're unsure, but when played by ear you can fake it in 4/4.

  • yeah, it sounds like it would be in something like 6/8 but that would be kind of hard to write out.

  • I really dug this game and I've always thought the music was great (especially the first level theme), but I've always been curious about something. Did they use the same engine as Shatterhand? both games look so much alike to me... There's also another game that looks like both games but I can't for the life of me remember the name.

  • Probably not the same engine, but there's quite a few NES games that look pretty similar. Batman, G.I. Joe, Shatterhand, Kabuki Quantum Fighter and Power Blade come to mind. The redeeming part is that most of these games were fun, so I can't complain much.

  • "Did they use the same engine as Shatterhand?"

No, Batman was developed by Sunsoft, and Shatterhand by Natsume.

  • I loved the music of the first levels... the game was impossible to beat for me... Sunsoft always dominated the NES musically and with great use of graphs

  • music to my ears

  • el unico videojuego del batman chido y el joker es un hijo de su puta madre

  • Really like the game over music. I never got too far in this game, so I forgot you can kick off the walls.

  • I remember never beating level 3 - the one with those jumping guys. Fun game though!

  • oh..and i was hella happy as a kid when i beat this hard ass game lol

  • I love the music for the first two levels. Not really a fan of the rest of the game's music, but the first two are stuck in my head.

  • i shouldve known u had this one covered!! ;) this was a classic..thanks for the upload.

  • almost an exact copy of Kabuki: Quantum Fighter

  • Kabuki was the shit!

  • Hell yeah I never thought about that. Haha both are good and break the controller f%$king hard games.

  • Kabuki is the copy. Batman is from 1989

  • I remember this game being hard as fuck! Great music though!

  • I mean.. for a NES game

  • Probably the best level 1 song for a NEW game

  • Love this game. Love this music. :D
