All of you people dissing Niko need to shut up and learn the facts. Niko only kills for money so that him and his cousin can have a better life. He is a family man that would do anything and everything in his power to make sure the ones he loves is safe. Niko never really wanted to be a killer he was just brought up in it during his time in the war, to the point where he believes thats all he can do. Take Johnny for example he only kills for the brotherhood of his gang...

At the end of the game, when they burned the clubhouse, I thought it was kinda sad because it's the end of something great- The Lost. Those guys went their separate ways afterwards, just sad. Call me a softie if you want but it was sad. And the music from gta: tbogt's pause screen isn't helping either. It reminds me of the tlad ending. Though, I do agree: it was kinda short, but then again, It's just a side plot to the main game. Awesome game!

The difference is that Niko made an attempt to be a good a person and in a way regrets his path in life. The SR2 protagonists revels in his lifestyle and has no remorse in who they kill, they were power hungry.

To be honest that's why I liked him, he was different from other sandbox game protagonists. While other games have some sort of justification, Saints Row it's obvious that the main character is simply a monster and is no better than the other gangs he fights.
