Wonder what flags you'll fly once N.Ireland is returned to the republic ?
Suggestion : Irelands Flag , the Glasgow Rangers , the New York Rangers , the white flag ...anything but the flag of the Queen for she had abandened her evil little hun children.
Is that the St Patrick who originally came from Scotland and is buried in the Protestant church of Ireland in Downpatrick? It is not just for catholics, however protestant people do not really celebrate it as the catholic community use it to promote nationalism with irish tricolours etc. It is stupid as if we are to move forward it should be celebrated, as should the 12th of july but not in peoples faces. The kick the pope bands are embarrassing and there is no need for them.
yes, he wasn't originally from Ireland. however, he brought and practiced the catholic faith here and i'm pretty sure he wouldn't have followed martin luther.
even if orangemen do celebrate it we can never celebrate the slaughter of catholics at the battle of the boyne as you see in this video.
There are some orange lodges that have St Patrick on their banners.
I think people have to realise that both religions have a culture and they have to be accepted by the other or else we are just going to keep going round in circles. They is more important things in life than hating your neighbour.
Why can't they march down the road that takes them right into the heart of a loyalist area??? Why do they insist on walking down past a Catholic area and past the Catholic Church?? You have a perfect road where all the supporters can cheer and shout freely. Yet again, the split is evident. Orangies can walk through Catholic areas, march through the city center and shout abuse, wear their rangers tops and all the other shit.Yet Catholics cannot have a parade in the town for St.Patrick's Day!!!
im a catholic myself and couldent give two flying fcks were people march. i would like to congratulate the uploader of this video for having the wittiest video description. ------> A short clip of the Nationalist's from various parts of Belfast standing on the road, just at the Ardoyne shops , waiting to be offended. FUCKING CLASSIC GOOD ON YA MATE
Also, i'm gettin' fed up with supposed 'republicans' calling even the most moderate unionist an 'Orange Bastard' or a 'hun' or whatever other sectarian slur they're using these days. You people are a disgrace to republicanism, which was founded under non sectarian principles. Honestly, it's embarrassing to be associated with you.
While I don't condone calling orange marchers "orange bastards" "huns" etc, you don't live in the six counties mate.
The nationalist people of Ardoyne have been hemmed in for decades while RUC and Loyalist death squads have been given a free hand to harass, terrorise and murder the residents of that district of North Belfast.
For example, in the early '80s, Republicans in Ardoyne were beaten severely with batons for draping a local PIRA volunteer's coffin with a tricolour.
Orangemen etc should be allowed to march, it's part of their tradition and that's fine. However, they should not be allowed to march in Nationalist areas, or in mixed areas where there is not a majority consent in favour of the march. I think that's pretty reasonable.
@GalwayTehLed Keep it real m8 this parade does not go threw a Nationalist area, the 12th 2010 republicans bussed people in from other parts of the country, its a joke and i wish people from down south seen this, im all for peace and have been in dublin a few times and had a great welcome
I would not blame the catholic population if they ignored sinn fein stewards this marhcing seasin 2009 and hit loyalist/unionist protestants with anything available to them. This should not be allow by nationalists and they shoud attack the orange to the point they are not able to walk at all under their own power. Onward to a united Ireland. Where this tye of intimidation of the irish would not exist.
Why is it that young people of today want to talk like the blacks? What is it with the 'da' this n that? Can`t you spell? Did`nt you go to school?...just wondering.
There were residents from both the New Lodge and Short Strand present at this. They certainly came a long was to be offended. The scumbag sean kelly was also present.
Long enough that we cannot walk out of our houses on the road because of their supporters. We have to have groups of loyalists sitting on our garden walls to watch the parade and throwing their junk into our gardens aswell as shouting abuse at us in our own homes. We cannot walk or drive out of our streets as they have to be cordoned off! That and the fact that they insist on wanting to walk past the Catholic Church also.
Don't comment on something you have no idea about!
it always hits the news when something happens 2 da orange bastards but you dont hear a peep when stuff happens 2 a catholic
