All three of these cops are on paid leave. In other words, your tax dollars are paying for their stay at home vacation (staycation). After the investigation (wink wink, nudge nudge) they will receive a heroes welcome and a promotion.

But wait it gets better....

They will also get lots of overtime, a promotion and a pay increase.
