I just started soloing a while back in 4.2 and I had him to 20% the problem for me is i gradually lose health throughout the fight and eventually the tantrum kills me. Any tips? =)
it's verry easy with is stuff, 6 months ago i have try XT with my dk, I went down the boss has 11% and godmode with 350 ilvl (it's a reroll). at the 4.3 there are stuff 397 with emblem, I will can down XT too :) but i've down many another boss, like kelthuzad, kil jaeden, etc, and i do my arene 1v2 for over a year. that easiest with a dk =)
Ive been trying this in a variety of different techniques. What I found out is that going all out on the heart brings him and letting the adds heal him brings him lower overall than ignoring the heart and killing the bots. With this strat I can get him to 40% before he enrages.
@205up90down I'd suggest you the exact contrary :P a single scrapbot means 150k hp healed. Admittedly, I *could* spend a little more time on the heart on that clip, but killing scrapbots is your absolute #1 priority.

DnD did more damage in Ulduar beta patch than it does in Cataclysm :p

This video is from the beta. The 30k heals from death strike are proof. Upload a video from the live servers and then it will count as a solo.
