I've got the Comet addon for FSX. It's one crazy plane - sluggish, noisy, ridiculously complicated fuel system. It must have been a real challenge to fly this thing back in the day.

Fact is that DH were well in advance of any other manufacturer at that time, including Boeing. You have to remember that the only other experience of pressurised big AC was the B29, and that was a dedicated bomber with few windows or other major stress points - which were the reason for the Comet's failure. Instead of rubbishing it, you should thank DH for finding flaws before Boeing did.
