  • He built it himself, with miscellaneous parts and he got it back after all those years?

Give him a pat on the back and tell him that is an excellent piece of craftmanship. That is the best looking homemade tractor I have seen.

I am happy for him, after all he bulted it.

It works pretty well after all those years, good job!

  • Narry a cross word for this man's accomplishments. And the fact that he tied everything together on his own, then was actually able to get it back after all those years. That's the stuff that true memories are made of. Thanks for taking the time to share the video and please tell the owner that Economy and Speedex has nothing on him. 5 stars and two thumbs up my man.

  • thanks... it looks like it was actually made by john deer thats why i asked cause it looks like the real deal and that had to of taken some time.

  • I forget what car or truck those front fenders came from. You should hear when he cranks it...birds fly away fast!!!

  • Those fenders came from a 1955- 58 Chevrolet pickup truck. They could have come from a GMC of the same vintage

  • His daughger said that he built it over a coarse of one winter... :)

  • Thanks...I'll let him know.

  • WOW! I am very impressed! What type of work did grandpa do in his career?

  • Excellent ! Very impressive how all those parts were mated together. He must be a pretty good machinist ! A good welder too !

  • That young man has a lot to be proud of. Nice work. continue on with the next project. I am sure others would love to see what else he can do. I know i am.

  • that old cat did a pretty nice job on that

  • Great job on that home made tractor.

  • I'll tell him...he gets a kick everytime I tell him someone on youtube sends a compliment. thanks!

  • Those are a pair of trimmed up to fit, 56-56 Chevy Apache pickup front fenders. Makes a nice looking hood! These old guys could build just about anything!

  • I noticed that also, grandpa had one, truck that is.............

  • Your neighbor did a great job, thanks for sharing!

  • Like the Deere's but the Cub Cadat is my tractor.

  • hood looks like late 60's ford truck front fenders. Awsome tractor

  • Let make a bet :)

I "think" the hood was made from a (first)56 or 57 fenders with single headlight design but maybe a 58 or 59 chevy pickup fenders. What do you think?

  • im a ford man and those are not ford fenders like daveenlola said. they are chevy for sure but that is some good building on the old mans part it has a good clean look for somthing homebuilt

  • is that just his joy ride or what?

  • your neighbor is cool. i want one of those tractor thingies now.

  • thats pretty cool!! but mountfields has a point make it ur self and put some one elses name on it but i can understand john deere is classic

  • can`t see the point of making somthing your self (nice job), then put JOHN DEERE on it !!!

  • KIILLLERR DUDEEE

  • he's so proud of that thing!

  • o ya that thing so beast love it:)

  • The hood is 2 car fenders things...

  • It sure is! I forget what make and model he said it was from. I want to say a Ford but I'm not sure.

  • They are from a 50's/60's car.
