@xregulatorx theoretically yes, though its easier with raceboards. just ur boots shouldnt jut out the board so they dont touch the ground while youre in strong lateral position.

@baaash Yeah requires a stiff board but really should be a bit softer at the front quarter of the board so you can initiate those quick switches faster and without having to use alot of effort.

@Jsin10921 Yea you might get a bit of snow on you, but nothing more than if you were romping through some powder in the woods :). I've always ridden both types, hard boots and soft boots. Always had fun no matter which one I was on, just different types of fun.

Lol, perfect example of how a certain skill in snowboarding will evolve to bring more attention to it than before. Laying down perfect semi circle trenches takes just as much skill as it does to excel in the park, just doesn't get much attention cause everyone thinks it's lame.

@0ffp1st3 Well, i started carving with a hard boot/board setup at 17, so i may be biased because i think pretty much all teen snowboarders think it's all about showing off to chicks/your friends in the park.

that grooming is AMAZING... but after skiing at my home hill any grooming is amazing... they like to groom it last second and leave 6 inch diameter ice chunks all over

@snowyphil65 not really, when you know how to control your board using the edges, I can go through crowds picking lines and laying trenches all the way down...it is the one-edge willys that crash into people from behind on their skid machines, roll it over on an edge and you might learn something.
