haha, yeah. well no I do think there's a really deep link between pop art and that whole electro vibe. it's many things at the same time; but to summarize it, it's 1/hating abstract expressionnism and whinning; 2/the love for flashy stuff and the love for pop culture; 3/the idea that copy pasting is a legitimate artistic act in order to reach more flashyness. there's definately links between cultures historically distant, even if it seems far fetched sometimes.
