I suppose it will sound warmer than the epi casino. if you look at the clips of Matt Otten you 'l have an idea how good it can sound , he also plays on other guitars so you can compare,The guitar I like the most is my epi 295 , with P90s,
How would you rate jazz on this instrument? I play jazz mostly and I'm looking for a nice box to go along with my '66 pro reverb fender tube amp. I'm currently on a epi. Casino (p90s) and it's tone is too thin and throaty for my taste. Any suggestions?
@RedrumsJB . Scotty Moore(Elvis), Chuck Berry, Beatles , Stones played on similar guitars . So i suppose you could, i like that kind of guitars because you don't need an amplifier to practice at home. The sound of a guitar depends more of the player than of the guitar.
I own several epiphone guitars, an es295 that sounds very nice because of the p90, an emperor, a gibson howard roberts. The joe Pass is the best payable,. I have this guitar abour 10 jears , be very carefull with the new ones made in China on different places.. Look also on you tube at "Matt Otten on a Joe Pass guitar , great player

i think it"s important that you try the guitar to know if it"s a good one , most of the epiphone"s are made in China , older ones were made in Korea.

I read where the Epiphone Joe Pass guitar has a laminated neck, is that a very sturdy made guitar? I mean...is it good quality for the money?
