Yes, it has video-in for recording, as well as video-out. You can take screenshots of a video, I dont believe its your background for the main menu but when navigating other menus I believe you can use it.

that. In an PMP I look the audio and video quality, the capacity and some plus like AV RECORDER. WOW the Cowon A3 has all that =D

Yeah, but it can't be thinner at the moment because only the HDD propose a big storage capacity.

When the Flash Memory will be avaible in big storage capacity with a price like the HDD, that will be interesting !!

Bon bah je viens d'acheter l'A3, seule la navigation dans les fichiers avec le stick me rebutait, par rapport à la facilité avec laquelle elle se fait sur le 605.

Mais c'est vrai que l'A3 est supérieur sur tous les points :) et l'écran du 605 est aussi trèèès brilliant, juste un peu moins que l'A3 (en revanche, celui de l'A3 est beaucoup plus constraté et est vraiment magnifique :) )

Great demonstration! Have you recorded 720p with it? I am considering getting an A3 to use as a camcorder monitor and recorder for a panasonic hvx 200. Please post a video response if you have any footage of recordings.

No, it can't record 720p.

Can it play 720P from a TV while in 'Record' mode, but not recording? For example - if you are using it as an extra monitor would it at least show up on the A3's LCD at 720p quality?

Yeah I think it's possible, because in video mode it can play 720p file, so in record mode too
