  • Stag makes great rifles. my first AR was a stag and that thing is a tank. after 8000+ rounds, it still functions flawlessly and will still make 1" groups at 100 yards.

  • is this the same as a SA3?

  • I've had a stag model 3 for about 3 months now, 3250 rounds(competition shooter) works flawlessly! I love this gun, bought as a back up for my colt, but use it just as much!

  • Ive had my stag model 3 for a year now. fired 1000+ rounds threw it. brass caseings fmj rounds, tracers. and its never jammed once. love it

  • working on my first ar now and going with this upper

  • filmed with a vegetable, right? ;)

  • LOVE MY STAG!!! Wish this video was not so blurry! Great Price, Great Firearm and for a shooter like me I love the lifetime warranty!

  • Not trying to be bossy, just trying to save your life. When you shoot from the left side of the board, switch over to left hand shooting [you have a red dot, so this shouldn't be a problem. You are exposing to much body shooting right handed on the left side.

  • Just bought a model 3 today, but before I saw this or any other video. In Texas you don't need any licenses, just can't be a convicted felon like anywhere else in the U.S. If you want to know the diff between models, visit stagarms.com.

  • What's the differene between all the Stag AR models?

  • So what licenses do you need for this rifle in Tx

  • @edtiv4 a non-immigrant drivers license

  • @edtiv4 None. You don't need any type of licenses or gun registration in TX.

  • Beautiful Rifle!!!

  • is the Model 3 a short stroke version as oppose to Gas-Impingement AR15?

  • I have one and my wife has one. I also have an AK so I have the best of both.

  • How do you compare the STAG Model 3 against "Top Tier" AR's?

  • @Coyote1911 all civilian ar rifles are the same. i own 4 and the lother walther which is Military is the only one that wont defect. none of the civilian models as much as people want to tell you can not withstand 1000s of rounds a day it will warp the barrel. MU

  • @Coyote1911 wasnt finished. my LH stag groups are the same as my RRA and bushy. all fired at 100 yards. i shoot wolf, pmc and remington out of all of them.

  • rock n roll baby!

  • Let's have a moment of silence for all those rounds.....XD

  • I think this gun is awesome! I am looking into getting one. Is it a light rifle?

  • @deeg123456789 yes. its very light. i have a tactical grip and bipod and id say loaded, youre looking at 6.5lbs. its a very nice gun. i was amazed at how light it was. this was my first rifle besides an ak47 and i accidentally over oiled it... which it fine, you just gotta wipe the oil off the firing pin. wont make that mistake again.... just a tip for you. but defiantly a good gun

  • Augmenting a sharp eye with sharp dress. Can't beat it.

  • yes these are legal in california, just got mine, some ffl dealers will do the transfer for you, some wont...but the ones who wont are just clueless of the laws.

  • California sucks

  • Perfect example of how slow is fast.

  • anyone know for sure if this rifle is legal in Calif?

  • If it has, I think, a 5 round clip that is permanently installed in the weapon it is legal, but that pretty much ruins it.

  • Well you can have a 223. 5.56 like this one but you can only have a 10 rd mag and fixed stock. Nothing custom really. I work at a class 3 ffl. and we cant sell anything to Cali residents because of the huge restrictions that make it almost not worth it.

  • Actually the magazine DOES NOT have to be fixed in places. What is stated is the magazine cannot be removed by push button. So the magazine release is removed. There is a small pin tool however you can get that will remove the magazine legally

  • it can be

  • anyone know if this is legal in CAli.?

  • Legal in cal with 10 round magazine. Has to be fixed but there are tools you can use legally to remove clip. Or come to oregon and buy a 30 round clip =]

  • have a stag model 3 what a great gun! i can go from shooting tactical down at my local range to coyote to chucks in one gun never had a misfire and the guys at stag are great i emailed them with my feedback on the weapon and in the mail i got all kinds of decals from them i wold deffently go with stag

  • This guy Suks and is a tactical trainer WOW . . . Look at his foot work look at at how he uses the barricades and look at his reloads this guy suks.

  • So do u need a ffl to own the weapon?

  • I like how this vid actually captures the auditory cracks of this type of rifle. Too many people think that the 5.56/.223 makes some kind of a snap or high-pitched pop out of these things. Quite the opposite, these guns ROAR. :P

  • I deal for stag, and many of the builds I do for customers start with stag recievers. They are just a damn fine shooting weapon. I can knock over pop cans yanking the trigger like a mad man at 75 yards. Very managable and accurate rifle.

  • u ppl out side of cali, im sooo jealous of you!!! geezus i want to move!!! o btw do u have to own a dealers licence to buy this?

  • you dont need a license to buy an AR in CA you have to buy a complete upper and then a CA legal complete lower meaning (bullet button and a 10rnd mag) if you cant find one you can buy a stripped lower ,LPK and then stock of your choice . Lowers do require FFL though

  • its a lot easier to own an ar15 in cali than you think

  • is it true though that the 10 round magazine is not detatchable and you have to lift off the upper to load it? if so that sucks I feel sorry for CA :(

  • Fortunately no need to lift upper =]

  • Why would you need a dealer's license to buy a semi-auto rifle?

  • Does he have a foregrip on the left side??

  • Doesnt look like it. I think thats just how he holds the rifle so he doesnt have to change his grip when he gets to the stage where he shoots from cover. May help in recoil too.

  • the way he is holding the rifle is the best way to decrease the recoil of the rifle. by keeping your hand in line with the line of power(the barrel) your whole arm will absorb the shock of the rifle, and then transfer it throughout the rest of your body. keeping your shoulders square with your knees and feet, and keeping everything in line will decrease the recoil that much more, because then the shock is transferred throughout your entire body.

  • Stag Arms has CA legal weapons, but the model shown is NOT Cali legal. Cali legal ARs can't have

    -flash suppressors,

-30 rd removable magazines (Ten round mags or fixed mag where you pull the take down pins to reload)

-pistol grip. Must have a conventional rifle style stock.

-bayonet lug. (Picatinny rails are still allowed.)

IF you want the rifle to look cool, you have to get one chambered in 22LR.

  • Well you can have pistol grips but you need the bullet button.

I wish I could get a suppressor :[ surefire makes really good ones.

  • which stag models are ca legal??

  • all of them can be CA legal, you just have to ask for a post ban model when you buy directly from Stag. Unfortunately, the factory is completely out of order and they do not accept back orders. However, you can contact the dealer from whom you are think to buy your rifle and ask whether they could modify it with a CA legal muzzle break (which are still legal in this insane state)

  • ok how about this.... the shops in my insane state dont carry stags at all, but if i could find an ffl dealer willing to install the muzzle break, and mag lock will an online dealer still send the unmodified rifle to CA to be modified if the ffl dealer ok's the transfer?

  • I'll kill my self if I couldnt own a gun!

  • @benner2000 Your dumb. Grow up. These comments do a disservice to all law abiding gun owners. I know you think you're funny; but seriously, grow up.

  • @Hellsredeemer "The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." -Thomas Jefferson- I will never allow someone to take away my right to defend myself. I am doing no disservice to anyone; merely expressing my opinion, which is perfectly fine in this country. If the government decided that civi's couldn't own firearms, I would do my country a SERVICE by revolt. That is my civic duty.

  • @benner2000 I hate what Obama is doing too; but making statements like yours when you said: " I'd kill the president if I couldn't own a gun" ; statements like that cast all lawful gun owners as violent criminals.

You expect people to be sympathetic and understanding of our gun rights; and yet you made that statement; again, GROW UP. Statements like what you already said does not help anyone to win over support from those that do not normally share our views of the Second Amendment.

  • @Hellsredeemer It's hard to admit when you are wrong, but I must say, you make a valid point. So, I will restrain myself. Thank you for keeping the arguement mature.

  • @Hellsredeemer statements like that will have the fucking fbi at his house what a dumbass

  • @benner2000 Hey you can't THREATED to kill the President !! Do you want to spend the rest of you,r life in prison? Romove that comment..

  • @fatboydanny1234 I am not threatening the President. He has yet to ban firearms therefore I feel no need to step outside of political boundries.

  • @fatboydanny1234 this is a free country son, you can do whatever you like so SHUT THE FUCK UP.

  • @benner2000 Be on the look out for black helicopters. lol

  • @benner2000 your a moron

  • Nice rifle, might consider it soon. For all those tards who say inbred things about doing stuff to the president, he has not done anything, so cling away tards, cling away.

  • With what? Haha

  • @FLCairsoft No you wouldn't! Because you wouldn't have a gun.

  • @FLCairsoft

    with what?

you wouldnt have a gun XD

  • well good thing i dont live in queer ass cali

  • Im a lefty and dont have a problem with my brass...I own a righty.

  • Does anyone know if I can order one of these here in California? I HOPE SO PLEASE!!!!

  • yes sir. you can

  • i have had a model 2HT for about a year now and all i can say is....perfection! awesome weapon, and with some good optics and external accessories you are good for any conditions. thousands of rounds, no failures! Stag arms is a great company i even got to interveiw the V.P. with no questions asked. watch out colt, dpms, bushmaster, and RRa....stag will be the big dogs in no time. :) (no disrespect because i do love those other companies aswell.)

  • just wish i could find 1 hard to come by now

  • Model 2 comes with iron sights and front sights. Model 3 is the bare bones stag which is ideally purchased to be modified seeing that it contains neither iron or front sights. Model 1 comes with carry handle and front sights. Good guns. Btw stag produces many parts for Bushmaster due to bushamsters failure to produce enough guns as a result of their demanding gov contracts

  • Just bought one today. Can't wait to go to the range!

  • I also just purchased one. Well, I bought the Stag lower (5.56). I'm going to buy the upper soon, too. (Model #2ht)

  • RAD

  • Woah! This guy is pretty good shooter.

  • i'm sold

  • good stuff! why didn't you switch shoulders while behind cover? shooting from left of cover with the rifle right shoulder... revealing too much of yourself as well. anyways, it was great! I really enjoyed it! also congrats on the runner up spot :) I think this should have been the winner.

  • If I had to guess, it would probably have something to do with the sling he was using.

Also, if shot lefty, the brass may hit off the cover or hit him in the face/arms. Not to mention some right-handed shooters don't should well lefty.

I'm no expert, just reasons why I personally wouldn't have shot it lefty.

  • He good but not the best I have seen. But then who am I to judge because I cannot shoot as well as he can.

  • I give you props for putting a product video on Youtube but i didnt learn anything. Watching some yahoo shoot it for 2 minutes is not very informative. Why dont you spend more time explaining the features of the model 3 and how they are different from say the model 2 and 1 instead?

  • AMEN I just bought my model 3. Don't mess with perfection. I think the Stag's got a one up on colt...

  • my dad just ordered the new 6.8 about a month ago. barrel issues at Stag havve caused the delay but it should be here monday. The JudZ if your the shooter, wow. Any military expierence?

  • kick ass shooter

  • This vid should have won their $1000 contest.

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • Good Stuff man

  • Looks like a fun range. How do you like your Stag? I will be getting a 6.8L soon.

  • Tell me how u like the 6.8, I am interested to see how it works out for you.
