There is Asian music awards too. That is ok. I think the problem with the MOBO awards is that 'Black' music is quite popular and modern, so on that basis you could say 'Black culture' is so integrated and mainstream that this award is not from a minority group. Which in fact could make it racist.

I really support and pleased that UK acts are getting more attention and praise from the MOBO's. However, the UK artists are a million miles behind the US acts. The US kids are simply not into UK acts, that includes rock indie music. The only real UK act to breakthrough the american charts is Coldplay. Who have sustained this since 2002, that almost 7 years.

I know, a few UK artists have had some sucess in the US charts. But, if we look at our top 40 UK charts, I'm sure if not 25-30 tracks there, are probably American or Non British acts.
