This is not a beast, girls use it. And I can cut an 8x8 in a single pass despite what the video says. Cut in till you get the saw to the balance point on the first edge of the beam and then rock the saw down the front till you are confident that you have cut full depth to the bottom. Stay in the cut, continue up and across and then rock down the far side. Use steel toed boots and don't have your stomach in harms way as you complete the cut. A smooth cut that works for me.
they dont sell mafell in usa. these things are too beast if you ask me id rather roll with a 10". Unless of course you "really" needed the extra depth.

This is an excellent choice of any guarantee Indonesian plywood then cut on the table. Freud TK303 very sensitive to the sword in the cut.
