The soundtrack and graphics and terrain are best features of this game....everything else including the arrow key combat system ( WHAT!!) and armor TOTALLY BLOW.
They should have kept the combat system like WoW....it works and everyone likes it...but no..not these assholes...they came up with some arrow key system for combat....STUPID!!!
Arrow keys? I use Q E and R for those attacks, default they're 1 2 and 3. It's actually not a bad idea, and more MMOs could try it. Directional attacks actually add another dynamic to fighting NPCs, where it's actually worth picking and choosing instead of just a set of same olds like in WoW. The only time WoW's combat is even interesting is in PVP, otherwise it's just use whatever spec's main attack is, and dps, no variety.
just imagine how much money was wasted on the development of this game.. coded badly.. unstable.. horrible network layout for a mmo.. they couldnt even afford good artists .. i mean, their big thing in this game , was they wanted insanely attractive females.. well.. they failed! horribly!. i WISH they would have succeded.. but.. they didnt :( they should atleast allow it to become public domain.. so people can repair it and maybe make something good out of their commercial failure.

@QuantumQuacks WoW's graphics are stylised and not piss poor. They are intended to be that way as it allows the majority of home PC owners play it without the need for an uber rig. WoW doesn't need to compete with so called 'modern' games as it is constantly re-inventing itself with new content. 12 million + subscribers tell you a very different story with AoC's sadly dwindling subs.

this game is pretty bugfree now, havent encountred anything since I started playing the trial, definetly gonna keep buying it. my opinion its better than wow in most aspects, alot better graphics, alot better fighting system, build cities and siege battles. tip: always stay in group while doing quests after lvl20.
well the free for all pvp can get annoying at some times and the game doesnt have as much different items as in wow but Ive only reached lvl30 so far. the roleplaying is good and balanced, still hate hunters the most
No BC was the shit, WotLK made me quit, its so gay now, i want BC back, if BLIZZ was smart they would have survers where 70 was the max lvl and no one on that surver had WotLK and they would do the same for lvl 60 and stuff

pre-tbc was the best, you go into a town you see maybe 1-3 people with epics rest in all blues. you had to work hard back then.
Same, gonna start with AoC again since I heared it's ALOT better now. And WoW WotLK is pure epic F-A-I-L! The pve content is so damn easy, took me 1-2 weeks to have done all bosses there. And bg pvp is just about farming honor, arena is just simply unbalanced with dk / palas going 2,2k without any kind of skill, it's a game of nuking now.

Unfortunatley female charactor creation is by far as exciting as it gets in this terrible game. Complete lack of meaningful content, slugish broken combat system, numerous bugs and memory leaks, ghost town servers, AVOID.

That said (I play AoC aswell), AoC has better solo gameplay... and i love the combat system. they're equal in my eyes.

i think that the game pays Way too much attention to things that people won't be looking at much, like faces. or skin color, Especially when covered in gear :P
The problem with such a "flexible" creation system, is that the margin of aesthetics is very narrow compared to the margin of what we'll call 'butt-ugly'. It defeats it's own purpose. Just have a nice variety of aesthetic looks and races to suit a wide audience and there ya go. The combat mechanics do look intriguing though, but I'm just not sure about this game.

80 is the level cap. Characters are easier to lvl in this game. but it takes a bit of skills to do good in pvp, i'd say if you go to AoC from WoW you will do Fine.
This Game seems pretty Awesome! it got a Combo system and a few very nice looking classes also it got a charectar system even better then The Sims, it has alot more features, there might be bugs but in a few months ( maybe a years time D: ) it'll be all great! i haven't played it though but just by looking at it through all this vids makes me wonder if i should buy and quiet playing WoW.
i'll look into it when i have some money to buy the game in the first place XD

in your option, i agree though Bc and WoTLK sucked, but in my option BC sucked more then WoTLK im still play on my twinks i dont play either of my 80's only to raid once a week to help new guildies get gear.
pre-tbc was the best, you go into a town you see maybe 1-3 people with epics rest in all blues. you had to work hard back then.

Same, gonna start with AoC again since I heared it's ALOT better now. And WoW WotLK is pure epic F-A-I-L! The pve content is so damn easy, took me 1-2 weeks to have done all bosses there. And bg pvp is just about farming honor, arena is just simply unbalanced with dk / palas going 2,2k without any kind of skill, it's a game of nuking now.

Heh, Guild wars sucks, the ONLY Reason they come up with expansions is that they're loosing players.. Same goes for WoW Since WoW havent gotten any different from the Pre-BC.. only difference is some spells, mobs and a new type of mount... yaay fun.. and yes i AM one of those that think Runescape is GAY! Come on worst Online game ever.. I tho wont stick to the old games.. since im bored of them.. im gonna go and try AoC! And yes this is a beta version of it.. they will have improved Graph by now

Lol? WoW has 12million players... runescape barely has 2 million. Ok, here's how it goes. I've been playing WoW for 3 years now, and I think it has better group and end game content than AoC. That said (I play AoC aswell), AoC has better solo gameplay... and i love the combat system. they're equal in my eyes.

i think you guys shouldnt compare WoW with this, Age of conana looks great and has a good combat engine, but duo to the WoW end game raiders and the bugs already fixed in the past 4 years they think wow is better but in about a few month's maybe most of AOC bugs are fixed

The problem with such a "flexible" creation system, is that the margin of aesthetics is very narrow compared to the margin of what we'll call 'butt-ugly'. It defeats it's own purpose. Just have a nice variety of aesthetic looks and races to suit a wide audience and there ya go. The combat mechanics do look intriguing though, but I'm just not sure about this game.

80 is the level cap. Characters are easier to lvl in this game. but it takes a bit of skills to do good in pvp, i'd say if you go to AoC from WoW you will do Fine.

This Game seems pretty Awesome! it got a Combo system and a few very nice looking classes also it got a charectar system even better then The Sims, it has alot more features, there might be bugs but in a few months ( maybe a years time D: ) it'll be all great! i haven't played it though but just by looking at it through all this vids makes me wonder if i should buy and quiet playing WoW.
i'll look into it when i have some money to buy the game in the first place XD
