I thank god that my brother phillip is home for christmas he's been serving in the army for the last 16 yrs now..we're greatful to have him home with us & his family.

wow.. brings back so many memories when I was with UN peacekeeping forces in Cyprus...I remember being on the front line on Christmas eve ..manning an observation post. It was cold and quiet...we coudnt light a fire or any lights in case either side decided to shoot at us...It was sad but I knew we were doing an important job.. keeping the peace...and that meant so much.. especially that night...I was just 18...A very young soldier..a little .afraid, but God gave me courage....and brot me home

As a HUGE fan of Vince I am over the moon this time of the year listening to his beautiful Christmas songs. His voice is outstanding. Had the pleasure to meet him twice - he's so sweet and funny.
I remember watching this video when I was a kid. I knew that one day I would be a Soldier on a distance battlefield on Christmas day. Sure enough I was right. I have spent 3 Christmas's in Iraq.

I saw this video for the first time, Christmas 2004. That was the first year My Son spent in Iraq, He has completed 3 tours of duty there. I'm proud of him and this video really touches home. God bless our troops. Thank you Vince Gill.
