@girafpige the clothes can be a tiny bit similar, but gyaru usually go for sexy cute, while decora girls wear things in lots of layers! like maybe a few tutu type skirts, lots of colourful socks. their look is more cute and kind of childish~ hope that helps a bit!

@ilportierenotte  it's a book called Japanese school girl inferno. It has info on styles from the sixties to recent ( the book was published 3-4 yrs ago ,but the info is still a bit useful. Personally, the book should be updated.

@JamaicanCutie18 yamanba was a term used for ganguro. when manba came after ganguro (with nosestripe, teased, big hair, etc etc, they took the manba part of yamanba)

there was a vid on youtube saying the difference between yamanba and manba, (cheek make i believe) but i think its more based on nose stripe existence imo

@JSkelentonKey im from america. anyway, gyaru is gyaru., but there are different levels of it if you will.

bgal is where gals dress in hip hop style. i dont pay attention to it too much because its not a style that i care for. in my opinion: it goes like this: ganguro(not goro), tsuyome manba,manba, banba,old kogal./bgal, tsuyome banba or gal/onee gal,hime, koakuma and thats generalizing on tans or lack of them.

You should make a new term - afromanba! Kinda like my term "pale yamamba" or "pale manba" (Euro-Manba works too) since Ganjiro is boring and attracts preppy bitches 8D... but that's just my opinion/experience.

yeah, not all of the girls were dirty, or sluts. and that goes for any fashion or whatevs. some gals have done compensated dating (i dont know if it always included sex though) but not every single gal does this. like some cheerleaders are bitches, but not all of them are lol.

and i also read somewhere that egg mag put an article in one of their old issues telling girls not to do that type of stuff to get clothes etc
