50+ fps for a dual core processor is good from what ive seen. Im in the market for a new GFX Card. I'm running a Athlon 64x2 5000+ (2.60GHz).. how much of a bottleneck would i get by pairring the CPU with a 6750 or 6770? ..and many fps would i get on average. Im looking to get 25+ fps on med/low settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

with a quad core or core i-series processors this card gonna perform quite good.

there is no word called "low profile" in VGA card's world there are three categories

1. Basic (Home Graphics and Windows Aero)

2. Intermediate or Entry Level (Casual Gaming and Video Editing)

3.Advanced (1900*1600 Resolution Hardcore gaming + HD videos editing )

This card Belongs to Category 2, this means you can play most of recent games on medium to high settings.

i dont want to disappoint you but laptop versions always give 40-50% less performance than the PC versions of same cards. i m not sure whether you will get 60 FPS on high to ultra settings.

Three Things i would like to Mention

1. Both cards will support ur pc.

2. 6770 is slightly better than 6750

3. if u can stretch ur budget a little further then HD 6850 is a better choice it gives almost 100% more performance than 6750 and 6770.

PS. my friend owns a HD 6850 and he is well satisfied with its performance.

I have this graphics card but although it says it has 1GB of video ram for some reason in it's info on sites like "Can I Run It" it lists my video ram as only being around 750mb. Does anyone know why this is?

No, i never take risk of over clocking as i dont have a sophisticated cooling system and in india we dont have AC in our home. my room temperature reaches 42 Degree sometime.

i get the same. but at the time of recording ur CPU speed counts more than your GPU speed.

if i record same video on Core 2 Quad or i-series then my frame rates will not drop even if i am on ultra high settings.

@himanshu2811 I'm a PC fan boy too but you do know that PS3 has a very good web browser, that can be used to access YouTube and Facebook very well. It can also play movies of a Blu Ray, DVD or even of the hard drive or via USB Flash, I don't know about Xbox but I'm sure Microsoft would of put that in too.
