  • @selvaraj1973 Your English is great! Thank you for watching Part 1 of my Death Valley. My wife and I had a great adventure there. I noticed that Part 2 is not here. I will upload it to You Tube in the next day or so JUST FOR YOU! So, check back; you will also enjoy Part 2. Here's a big "HELLO" to all my friends in India.

  • cool

  • We were at that Best Western the evening of the 12th of September. Susan and I always get up early to ensure we don't miss those free breakfasts. Before we got to Bishop, we stopped at Mono Lake and I took some not-so-good-pictures of the Tufa Towers (it was starting to get dark). Back in about 1989, we also toured the Bodie ghost town. I need to get back up there and re-photograph it with digital equipment.

  • Great videos, D.M.! My sister & I made a trip down to Bishop/Lone Pine a couple weeks ago. We didn't make it to Death Valley, but want to return early next year. A friend of mine has camped there & visited many sites. I'm currently borrowing a book on Scotty's Castle. We did visit the site of U2's late Joshua Tree, and also want to see Zabriskie Point in the future. Great musical choices for your videos. :)

  • @Robin61478 Thanks! Yeah, my wife and I were totally surprised by Death Valley. At times, we thought we were on another planet. Hopefully, you got a chance to see part two. It covers some of the canyons we hiked down. By the way, only two weeks ago, we also came back from Canada through Lone Pine and we spent the night in Bishop. There is so much to see along that Hwy 395 corridor. I simply need to get back up there an photograph much of the stuff we didn't have time for. Thanks again.

  • @giaruso Yes; did see Part 2. Keep up the great work! We stayed at the Best Western next to the Schatz Bakery in Bishop. Had a great lunch there. Also; noticed there was a movie museum in Lone Pine. I'd like to visit there next time. Another user also posted some videos on Titus Canyon. Familiar? I own a 4X4 too, so we'll be able to go into some of those spots. I took a semester of photography in college some years ago. Got some nice photos, and still wish I had the manual camera at times. :)

  • @Robin61478 Good grief! I'll bet we walked right past each other. That is exactly where we stayed. We had a hard time deciding on the free breakfast at the Best Western or at Schatz. We decided on the Best Western, but went to Schatz and purchased a lot of cookies and bread to take.

  • @giaruso We were there on Sat. the 25th. How bout you? Yeah; we went to the free breakfast the next morning (Sun.), but looked like everyone beat us to it. My sister wanted to go the Denny's and we ended up with cold food. :( I had suggested Schatz before-hand, just to get some pastries to take. Oh well; we went to Independence afterward, because she wanted to take pics. of where Daft Punk shot their film 'Electroma.' I'm more of the classic rock fan though; like my dad was. ;)
