@KCRascal Terry Preston was the name he used initially... as soon as Ferlin got a big record deal, he changed it back to his given name. Simon Crum, on the other hand, was a regular character he did throughout his career.

I heard on Willie's Place on SiriusXM (Bill Mack's show) that he was in the hospital last week, but he is out now and doing better (I think he had pneumonia).
