People with more education are less likely to use violence. In a report done in my city, police officers with more education (college) are less likely to shoot an assailant with their service arm or taser. So it helps having educated officers.
Sometimes the victim becomes the antagonist and protestors usually are people whom are organized but the followers of demonstrations lack observation of other people's safety and laws of the state, which is why the police service steps in and disperses the crowd. Most people don't like being told what to do and retaliate against peace officers and the police must overcome aggression and this creates escalation.
peaceful protest is legal, but to an extent. there are places that you can not legally protest at even they are considered public property. also when protesting you must be sure you stay within the law. sit-ins as they did in the video can be broken up if it violates safety laws by blocking streets and sidewalks.

be a peaceful one once the current empire has fallen? I agree it is time for the good people of the world to reclaim it. Life is hard enough in itself without having to deal with war, homelessness, poverty, (the growing disparity between rich and poor). Greed and fascism. I suspect the citizens of the u.s. are unhappy with their living environment, who would want to live in a militarized government controlled jail that has lost it's democracy and is nothing more than a war machine?

Two things...
Its a tazer. Nonlethal 10,000 Volts to subdue you, but not enough amperage to pass through your heart and kill you.
And if a cop tells you to stay in the car, and you get up and walk up on him when his back is turned, he is trained to pull either a tazer or his gun just in case you try to assault him. It happens. It is a security measure for self defense.
