Hey, Steve! I am also an English teacher and I do love the way you teach. As a Brazilian, thank you for this wonderful material and welcome to Brazil, especially Natal where I live.
Hey Steve: How nice having your videos here on youtube. I am a Brazilian English student from Sao Paulo. English is as hard for us - Brazilians - to learn as Portuguese might be hard for you to learn.
I've been watching your videos and listening to your advices as to TOEFL exams. I'd like to thank you for delivering such valuable info to us foreigners who weren't raised in the English language. I just love your videos and I learn a lot from them!

That is great and sad in the same time because i think you wish in some moment of your life be with your own family and if you traveled like this It is going to be very dificult to do it.

Hello! Hello! Hello! Everybody! Thanks for all of your comments! Stay tuned for Peppy 27 ! I have written a lot of new music for it to help you remember all of these phrasal verbs. :)
Hello Lirim! usually going from nouns to adjectives isn't so bad. What about 'good' ? For example, We did it for his own 'good' ( noun) and He is a ' good' swimmer. Be careful of irregular adjectives, especially in the comparative and superlative i.e. better and best. This counts for bad, worse and worst. Also consdider far, farther/further,farthest/furthest

Hello Steve, I'm David, a Brazilian guy from Rio de Janeiro that really appreciates your lessons. There has always been a huge debate about this! Back when I was teaching in the 90s, I worked at British-run schools as well as American. Being a Canadian, I was able to work with both kinds of English. I truly love both ! I think they both have something to offer. In the academic world you obviously need to focus on one of the two. So if you plan to do the TOEFL, you need American English if you want to do the IELTS or Cambridge, you need British English.

Hope this helps ! Good luck with your studies and thank you for your generous comment !

I'm studying English in London and my brother going to study English and I recommend for him to go to Canada because the accent of the people in Canada very clear not like here in the UK.

This comment really serves as a source of inspiration for me. I really put as much as I can of myself into these videos, including my life experience. Thanks so much for your comment ! It made my day!
Good question. I will consider using this for a test prep. video considering it is high level. This goes into the finer details of writing and speaking and your last example encourages me to do a video with regard to 'as'.
Hi Steve, I enjoy your lessons very much. They've helped me a lot.
I've had a hard time using the word "as" in a sentence. So I'm wondering if you could give a lesson on how that word is used in phrases/sentences. I know "as" can be used as an adverb, a conjunction, and a preposition, and in phrases like "as is", "as of", "It's not as if...". It's really confusing!! Thank you for your attention and patience.
Yes! At last Peppy26! I love these lessons and to be honest, I download all of them so that I can watch I learn whenever I want. Thank you Mr. Ford, I'm still waiting for more and more videos. Greetings from Poland!
Thanks Eduardo for the compliment ! Maybe the other person who posted the comment regarding if Leme can be seen in the Copacabana scene can comment back!
Hi Soheil! Nice question. This is question 8 from the quiz at the end of the video. You can check the answer for it on my youtube page as all the quiz answers to Peppy 26 are listed there.
Hi dear Steve! Good job bud! Excellent video. Thx for ur help and congratulations! Don't forget that u r always welcome in Rio man. Peace out and good vibes from here.
Hi Steve... I am from Brazil and conincidently I live in Rio, close to the highest black building which appears behind of you (from 2:33 to 2:35). This beach is called Leme and it belongs to Copacabana Beach... I would like to say thank you for your explanations and I am really your fan... Thanks once again...
Hello! Hello! Hello! Dany! I loved making the video and I loved remembering the wonderful experiences I had in Brazil! Love! Love ! Love! Say it a million times!
Steve, I forgot to ask you: did you actually made that song? Is it really yours? It is awesome! I didn't know that you're also a musician! Seriously: can I buy your CD?
Hi Lewn5! Yes 'First Time in Brazil' is a song which I wrote and it was inspired by my many experiences in Brazil. This was kind of a love song from me to Brazil. I hope to make a compilation CD of all the music that I have been using in my videos and launch it from my website(s) Have a great day ! Steve

I don't say "Canadà" when I'm speaking (or trying to...) english... :P

Ok... Now I'm confuse... o_O?

Good question. I will consider using this for a test prep. video considering it is high level. This goes into the finer details of writing and speaking and your last example encourages me to do a video with regard to 'as'.
bravo! wonderful question!

It's not "Ipaneema"... It's "Ipanehma"... XD
But, great lesson, as always.

Steve, I forgot to ask you: did you actually made that song? Is it really yours? It is awesome! I didn't know that you're also a musician! Seriously: can I buy your CD?
lewn5 2 years ago
Hi Lewn5! Yes 'First Time in Brazil' is a song which I wrote and it was inspired by my many experiences in Brazil. This was kind of a love song from me to Brazil. I hope to make a compilation CD of all the music that I have been using in my videos and launch it from my website(s) Have a great day ! Steve
