The more open we are about our sexuality the more people in general get used to us. I don't know if you remember how things used to be but take my word for it, things are better now. I have never understood these parades myself. I find them disgusting for the most part. These things are what make life so hard for gay and bi people. You can tell people what the person did that offended you but you don't screw with thier freedom by making them say they are sorry or giving them some kind of community service. More and more common traits are found in homosexuals, things that they cannot change, proving that it is a biological phenomenon. Sexual orientation should be treated the same as race, gender, ethnicity, etc. It is something that cannot be changed.

The more open we are about our sexuality the more people in general get used to us. I don't know if you remember how things used to be but take my word for it, things are better now. @0194D I was always taught that the proper way to deal with situations where a speaker is insulting is to just walk out. You can tell people what the person did that offended you but you don't screw with thier freedom by making them say they are sorry or giving them some kind of community service. That is really what they are doing. Just tell everyone what he did and the people who dont' like it won't go to his show. That way the people who do can still go and have fun even if you don't like it.

I would argue that the homosexual community has deep roots in history. I've heard the argument comming from the left, that homosexuality is nothing new and should be accepted because of it's historical relevance. Anyone would agree this to be true. However, i'm sure our founding fathers in their supreme wisdom were aware of homosexuals and their choices, but for some strange reason they did not feel to include sex as a right. The 1st amend. clearly defends the rights of people to choose their BELIEFS without discrimination. And a belief is not necessarily a lifestyle. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with the 1st amend. Beside the 1st Amend. has to do with protecting "heated" discussion in regards to politial dissent. exactly where does sexual orientation fit in there?

Do me a favor, google biological traits homosexuality. In particular, look at the article from the Guardian, UK. More and more common traits are found in homosexuals, things that they cannot change, proving that it is a biological phenomenon. Everyone has a sexual orientation, even you, so laws protecting that are not just for gays. Sexual orientation should be treated the same as race, gender, ethnicity, etc. It is something that cannot be changed.

"Why would I choose this?" My answer to this question is because it's easier. I googled biological traits homosexuality and read the article. I read the data...but still where is the actual "gay" gene? It's not conclusive. based on the data that was provided...gay people should be allowed to park in a handicapped parking space for having a physical abnormality in their brain...but it doesn't prove that's its genetic...unless I missed something?
