It was based on the killing of the cabin 28 murders, where a mother and daughter where killed and the son and his friend injerd, it wasn't EXACTLY the same as that murder was over 100 years ago, and then they didn't have the tecnoligy to work out the things we could today, they basicly had the same kind of deaths as they thought would have happend but just added a man and a woman insted of a mother, son, daughter and a friend. Whore

@Jetsbff Leatherface was based off of a real guy... however, these true events were based on the directors: In an interview he said that someone came to his door one night looking for someone who didn't live there, the next morning, there was a break in only a few houses down. They are based on true things; however they are not 100% accurate. Just saying.
