  • I hate scrabble, but next time I play, I will play dirty.

  • This was very helpful :)

  • Although I enjoyed his presentation I'm not too sure what he is on about because the Scrabble set I have has a printed set of rules, and at least half of what he suggests breaches them. (my Scrabble set is over thirty years old)

  • BRILLIANT presentation style. You are a star.

  • Using this tactic doesn't mean you are bad at Scrabble because there's no reason why you can't both memorize word lists AND wage psychological warfare against your opponent! Be the best player you can be, or something. Personally, I think playing against Mehal would be hilarious and you'd learn a lot, if you're not the type to take yourself so seriously.

  • lol copying and pasting the same thing to several posts......well done

  • This isn't cheating at all. Most of you don't seem to have watched the video. You have to do more than read the misleading title before condemning it.

  • does winning honestly not count for anything?

  • @5kkumar So you'd rather play someone who takes it easy on you? Wuss.

  • I challenege everyone who has a "board game night" to a "survive 5 minutes in a dark room with me" night. Bring whatever dictionary you want.

  • fuckkkin cheater assssshol

  • The only way to deal with a guy like this is by building your knowledge of the various obscure words allowed by the TWL or SOWPODS Scrabble lists. I've been using a free program called the Lexifind Scrabble Helper to play against champion Scrabble bots like Quackle (and actually beating Quackle every once in a while), and between the two of them I think I'm learning at least one new word on every turn (even if I don't decide to play the weird ones). Much more fun than memorizing word lists!

  • This is awesome. A lot of these tactics I already employ, but some others I'd not yet thought of and for that I thank you!

  • How to be a douche bag at scrabble...

  • @russellnation So you'd rather play someone who takes it easy on you?

  • @Ninjalectual No, I'd rather play someone who is playing to enjoy the game, not someone who is a scheisty jackass.

  • 7 people were beaten by this guy in Scrabble.

  • "Obscure British Slang" killed me.

  • Do you have any tips on playing Tic Tac Toe ?

  • This is exactly the kind of player that I'm training myself to go up against. I'd probably lose if I played Mehal TODAY, but give me a year. I WILL memorize most of the good words. Keep in mind that Scrabble is not a game of infinite possibilities word-wise. And in my online Scrabble playing trends have already started to emerge. And I'll know if the other person is lying about their word choice.

  • @battlehappy Find me in a year and we'll get it on.

  • That was so epic! I'm ready to beat my grandma at scrabble now. BRING IT.

  • PLEASE change the intro to say the best SEVEN letter word, not six. You look like an idiot to Scarbble players (aka the people that would be interested in this video).

  • awesome

  • dude, it's not the best 6 letter word, it's the best 7 letter word. it's called a 'bingo'. 6 letter words aren't jack.

  • My Mom and I love scrabble even though we're horrible at it, so thanks for the tips!

  • perfect timing . And that was hilaaaarrrrious!!!

  • superb. that's entertainment!

  • hahaha...how badly do you want to win your grandma at scrabble?!

  • @luiohh So you'd rather play someone who takes it easy on you? Wuss.

  • i needed some tips to get good at scrabble fast ! and i got them ! thanks dude.you rock

  • aha that was awesome

  • For example, WaffleEgo, with a big ego, and maybe big waffles, posted a crappy comment.

  • its OK, but most of these tips are common sense really, the only technical part is when he shows examples of good and bad boards and words to use in those cases but he doesn't go into details there so really there's not much to learn in this presentation.

  • OH YEAH!

  • this is awesome! i might go play scrabble now :)

  • Hahaha

  • this is pretty cool

  • All of these tricks are well-known to tournament Scrabble players. Watch "Word Wars" to see the masters in action.

  • Loving this one, I'm definately going to use some of these tips next time I play!

  • Scrabble meets poker. Nice.
