@Shimekiri as long as you focus on the first 6 and the console hears the right sounds come out of the guitar you can play a 9 string guitar for all they care, yes there is such thing check out Agile.

@fahadxile you'd have to compensate , without getting into a major theory guitar lesson everything that you'd be playing to play say an E chord , C# .. ect would be two frets up on A to high E... for the C on the low E thats 4 frets this is also how to figure out songs in different tunings...or... use a capo in D tuning to make the guitar sound like its in standard tuning.

I've never played this game (nor will i unless drunk) BUT.. as long as you hit the right notes the game shouldn't care.

@fahadxile I think there are some songs for alternative tunning in Rocksmith. Search for the song list and check each song for their tunning.
