Putting rusty nails in the soil where people will be digging and spreading mulch is just asking for somebody to get stuck and get tetnus.
Again, if you want to know what REALLY works, get a soil test done by the state ag. service and add aluminum sulfate according to the results.

does anyone know the name of the hydrangeas she's showing?? I have that one and I love the way it turns from a light green color to that gorgeous hot pink. I wanna get the lavender one next.
i love hot pink hydregias they are beautiful.i have a little one i got last year.i see a little bit of green foilage growing up the stems hopefully it will bloom this summer!
