Sad.. Time now has caught up to these guys it is sad, with hagar they had a better chance at having a longer career . With roth they wrote party songs ,they cant do serious songs with roth . I am very curious to see how their new album is going to sound like, man ed was wasted on this tour whew .
@pdrga Yep no secret Ed was doing more than just drinking and it effected his ability to do what he was known for doing.
I think after this tour was done so went the friendship between Ed and Sammy and Mike. Drugs always destroy family and friendships.
Lived through it myself playing music with friends whom I no longer can be associated with because they are to far gone. It also effects attitude towards practice and performance.

Did you notice how on this 2007/2008 "Dave needs money tour" that every night has the exact same setlist and Dave says the exact same things at the same times. They are getting ALOT of help from technology. My buddy saw a soundcheck and said it was really bad. Let the Dave fans think they sound great though...you can't win an argument with them because they are just too thickheaded and stuck in 1984

You know even thought this tour was sub-par compared to other VH tours...
NEVER again will any VH fan be able to get as CLOSE to the band was WE did on that tour.
The stage was low...and I mean LOW. I was front row centre for the Toronto show.
And I almost pulled Ed's guitar chord out during Panama!
