  • youtube 'WHY IS DAVID WOLFE OVERWEIGHT!?'

  • @TheRawvoice too much superfood ,probably ...

  • Coffee has caffiene a stimulant. Herbally trying to turn it into a 'good' thing for your health is BS.

  • Stimulant toxic smoothie loaded with fat.... no thanks. This is worse than eating at Mc Donalds.

  • @kronier You obviously have no clue about what you're talking.. Humans need to eat healthy fats for optimal health! As for using coffee as a base for a smoothie, I wouldn't recommend it for the majority of US population.

  • @ibf1981 Obviously. What % of total calories should come from fat in your opinion then? Were you talking esoterically or haven't you studied human nutrition?

  • @kronier Yes, I have studied and wrestled with the subject of optimum nutrition extensively both at the collegiate level and in my spare time. I would say 25-35% of the total calories you consume should come from poly and monounsaturated fats. The exact percentage will vary depending on your gender (women have a higher percentage of body fat than men) and the climate in which you live (the colder it is, the more fat you need to consume). I hope that helps answer your question.

  • @ibf1981 OK it seems you studied "optimum nutrition" - IE you've looked on the internet at people like david wolfe and co and read about "super foods" - but you haven't actually studied human nutrition.

I live in berlin and it was -19C / -2F the other day and I'm eating approximately 10% fat.

If you think athletes (IE people who need good nutrition as part of their job) eat more than 20% fat then you need to do more homework. The high performance athlete eats HEAVY on the carbs, low on the fat

  • all I heard was "blah blah I'm a dirty snake oil salesman"

  • David Wolfe represents everything that has gone wrong with today's health food world

He is nothing but a fake, manicured wannabe hippy who sells expensive products and programs that can be found elsewhere for a 1/10th of the price. He is a good speaker, but you can find better informationl elsewhere from genuine sources on raw food diet and natural living.

David Wolfe is a fraud, and a genius salesman... don't fall for his fake stupid image, it's just to sell his overly expensive products.

  • @sesamestreetgang vitacostDOTcom ... ; ) (i'm a real person, btw)

  • @sesamestreetgang Exactly. And nobody fall for thinking he's got pecks underneath his top... they are man boobs from all the fat he eats in his $50 smoothies.

  • "man this is just the best ever" hah. nah but really good video

  • he didnt put it in her hands! :(

  • ive been a vag for 21 years VAG 4 EVER

  • Argh, they both need to chill out and relax a little......... I want to drink that

  • Comment removed

  • lol at the money shot of flowers with the girl in the beginning

  • Coconuts don't 'have' cholesterol - true. BUT - they are made into cholesterol once in the body. So, ultimately, drinking too much coconut milk can raise your 'bad cholesterol' (LDLs).

  • this is one gay smoothie

  • Fat to grease the nervous system and make it run smooth? Really?

  • Mm a dehydrated, processed smoothie full of caffein and frozen berries. The only thing fresh is the coconut.

  • brilliant nutricional information!

BUT: wars are all over with, and now we're living in paradise?!

WTF dude, your own fucking gouvernment is at war right now,...

has been at war since it was founded by genocide!

  • The good thing about a smoothie is that you really don't measure anything...Just put what works for you and blend...A smoothie is like clay...It will bend any which way you want it to, and still come out looking and feeling beautiful...A smoothie a day keeps illnesses away.

  • Green and Blacks organic chocolate is amazing!!!

  • I live in Jamaica and we have the best coconuts, and lots of it, so there's really no excuse for me not to drink it and there's no reason for me not to drink it every single day...We have it in bottled form and it's sold by roadside vendors all throughout Jamaica...Come to Jamaica if you want really good coconut water, probably the best in the world!

  • The only thing better than a good smoothie are two good smoothies...Smoothies are fantastic because you can put so many different ingredients in one smoothie and, if made properly, is delicious and nutritious.

  • I got some of the worst news ever. Those wars and conflicts are still going on.

  • @RMCrowley He was clearly being sarcastic!

  • "grease the nervous system" ?!

  • Why doesn't he list milk as one of the bases for making a smoothie??

  • @MagUalghairg1916 pasteurized cow's milk is not fit for human consumption. Though the media and govt. organizations would have you believe that "milk does the body good" it doesn't. Studies and statistics show that the more dairy a population consumes the sicker it is and Americans are pretty sick. Alternatives to milk are milk like substitutes made from almonds, coconut and other nuts or seeds. I'm not a fan of soy or rice milks. Hope that helps.

  • @Suthenboy I never said anything about using *boiled* milk. Why didn't this guy mention adding fresh milk as a base to the smoothie?

  • @MagUalghairg1916 using "raw" unpasteurized milk is not an option for most people. If you can get raw unpasteurized milk then go ahead and put it in your smoothie. If you use the regular store bought pasteurized cow's milk (puss and blood), you're not drinking a healthy "smoothie", you're drinking an unhealthy "snotty" because of all the mucous and ill health it causes.

  • @Suthenboy "using "raw" unpasteurized milk is not an option for most people."

Really? What do you consider most people? I looked it up on line and apart from Delaware, I found dozens of resources, buyers clubs, small farm sources, etc., all over the place. The most were in California (where one can buy it in the store) and Florida. So finding raw milk would be easier than finding raw chocolate in most States, and certainly an option. Why are you downplaying it?

  • @MagUalghairg1916 David doesn't mention using fresh milk cause he is a raw vegan. Vegan's don't use cows milk. Using a nut milk would be fine.

  • @lynntofu Well fresh cows milk is raw isn't it? So he'd be at least fulfilling half his title as "raw vegan," wouldn't he? It's funny how vegan are trying to co-opt the word "raw" to mean only things from the plant world. So silly.

  • Some people that eat raw do consume raw milk. But David is a raw vegan and doesn't do cow's milk.

  • @lynntofu But he does eat raw insects.

  • @MagUalghairg1916 I didn't know that!

  • @lynntofu David Wolfe is not a raw vegan nor has he ever been one. He eats meat (lots of witnesses), eat bugs, eats honey, consumes deer placenta, how is any of that vegan?

  • @lenny10marlin Sorry I didn't know. Maybe he eats raw meat? Some vegans do consume honey.

  • @Suthenboy except that whole raw organic milk from grass fed cows are really healthy and can be used in everyday smoothies.

  • @stud002 Raw milk is illegal to sell in the U.S. and most western countries.

  • @MagUalghairg1916 Because David is anti-milk ( see:notmilk.com) cheers m8 :)

  • @Sourcepowa Ignorant website.

  • @MagUalghairg1916

    U r welcome.

  • @MagUalghairg1916 BECAUSE CALCIUM ESPECIALLY FROM AN ANIMALS IS NOT THE ANSWER. YOU SHOULD BE GETTING YOUR CALCIUM FROM DARK GREEN VEGETABLES HE'S ALL ABOUT - THAT WE ARE HAVING 2MUCH CALCIUM IN THE BODY. HE WANTS US TO DE-CALSIFICATION. VEGTETABLES ARE THE CURE AND ANSWER IT'S WHAT YOUR BODY NEEDS EVERYDAY-NOT 3 SERVINGS OF MILK!

  • @MagUalghairg1916 Milk is a very bad base, no matter what milk you use. The casein in milk basically destroys the healthy effects of the polyfenols and antioxidants in the smoothie.

  • @MagUalghairg1916 becasue milk is carcinogenic.

  • He always comes across as a bit of a "guru", with his goatee, hippy clothes, etc.

I'm sure he enjoys the status. Puts me off his message slightly.

  • David ur the best ever!!!!!!!!!!

  • There is some controversy going over coconut oil, whether it's overall effect is "good" or bad. As for his cholesterol thing, yes it's true none is found in plants. However, saturated fat is a better predictor for our body's cholesterol, than cholesterol found in animals. However, not all saturated fat is the same. Only like 20% of the saturated fat found in coconut oil is the type which raises cholesterol levels...The other 80 is actually good for you. There's the rub.

  • @MichaelBallack91 Well if you buy into the argument that "high" cholesterol is bad for you. The I guess you got a problem.

  • 4, If cooking or heat destroys nutrients - or as david puts it in his sunfood diet book, cooking takes away all the water in foods and makes it dense, why is dehydrating OK (i mean considered raw)? Ok, maybe dehydrating is uncooked. but i often hear using an oven at low temperatures is a worthy alternative if one doesnt have a dehydrator...Isnt that "cooked"?

    5.

  • @gypsy696 dehydrated foods are not ideal for health, they transitional foods. They're a healthy alternative to cooked and processed foods. They should be used to transition from cooked and processed snacks and after that they should be limited and consumed on occasion in moderation. Fresh and juicy is always best.

  • @Suthenboy 21 People are stubborn brainwashed morons, that live off fast food and pharmaceuticals! Living on this earth is so simple, man has complicated it!!

  • 2. Most of the smoothie recipies posted by raw foodies use a TON of fruits/veggies. My own smoothie has a HUGE plateful (piled high) of leafies and fruits. and thats just ONE meal. Isnt it going way above the five servings of fruits/veggies that is recommmended?

    3. I've also recently read that we shouldnt combine fruits and veggies in smoothies. Is that correct? To me, adding citrus fruits with spinach and other dark greens - and my favorite Neem leaves or bitter gourd - seems only natural..

  • @gypsy696 some greens and fruits mix better than others, I know I experience indigestion if I mix too many ingredients in my smoothie, especially fats and fruits. It's best to experiment with different recipes and see what works best for you. I do fine with apples, citrus, mango or berries with spinach. If I do coconut, hemp or other fats in a smoothie I use other superfoods and avoid using fresh fruit.

  • @gypsy696 I don't know what you're asking in the second question....are you saying we shouldn't eat more than the five servings of fruits and vegetables recommended by the fda? the fda is an organization you should really research and decide for yourself whether they are accurate. and any raw food diet does not really fit their recommendations, which is the basis of the standard american diet. a raw food diet is a diet of mainly fruits and vegetables, so any raw foodist will have...

  • @gypsy696 ...a much greater intake than the average omnivorous person on the SAD. For your other question, I haven't seen any hard evidence that fruits and vegetables shouldn't be combined...a lot of people do it and I haven't had any issues or health problems from drinking green smoothies.

  • I love david wolfe. I got started on raw foods after watching david in Food Matters - and I was thinking I want his glow, his joy! Have been about 75-80% pure raw for about two weeks now. But have some questions, which may sound dumb, but cant find a ready answer upon googling:

    1. If having liquid diets (juices/smoothies) is good (easier to digest), then is it OK to have a completely liquid diet 100% of the time?

    to be contd....

  • @gypsy696 All liquid diets for an extended duration can cause the digestive system to atrophy. Long fasts must be ended by gradually reintroducing solid foods. The longer you do liquids the more sensitive to solid foods you become. You can do it but it's difficult and unwise to do in our toxic modern world.

  • It's beyond amazing how close-minded people are & the fact that they will fight you to the death on "facts" they have been force fed their whole lives. It's really just sad.

  • These smoothies look amazing... I love using coconut milk in mine!!

  • How about Vita-Coco?

  • How about Vita-coco?

  • This is so commerical . The hunza people live till 130 years old on no chocolate.

This is such a money making scheme. These people are not health gurus.

I don't believe in drinking juices. We should very much limit our intake of sweet foods. There are so many junk food junkies who are raw foodists..they have no idea that too much natural sugar is not healthy. I eat whole raw organic foods. I don't juice. I look twenty years younger than my age. and I am not old either. I don't buy oil either.

  • So is using milk as the base liquid ok? Or is it bad for some reason?

  • "because now we're living in paradise." ha! vintage wolfe.

  • i wonder if david wolfe ever eats a burger from jack in the box just to see the negative affects it would have on his body???

  • Was he being sarcastic when he said good thing the war and conflict are over and we are living in paradise?? And the lady was just like "RIght." like was she even listening?

  • Holy Crap that makes me hungry

  • I buy a lot from David Wolfe, but one thing ive noticed with him, is that he's into MALE, FEMALE gender role. "Women if your watching... take the cocoa butter and put it under your eyes..." ummm, like men don't care about anti-aging lol Im not judging... but I watch a lot of his lectures, and i noticed that type of mentality is pretty consistent with him... which im surprised about, considering what an innovative pioneer he is. Ironic

  • @RodTalon0000 i think he does what you say he does because more woman are concerned with skincare than men are..

  • @thegame245 the skin is the largest organ on your body ;) tell me why men would care less about that, especially the men who are interested in over all health. Men appear to care less about skin, because caring about your skin is a vanity trait, and related to the feminine principle... and society needs to throw that crap in the garbage. Skin is skin, its important like anything else. And YES men want to look good too lol but many are afraid to appear gay, or female if they worry to much

  • @RodTalon0000 all im saying is alot of men tend to not give their skin as much thought as woman do... now maybe men with problem skin like acne or dryness do but overall alot of men dont really give skincare much thought problably because they dont have too

  • I wish I can get coconuts :( I live in Florida, but the trees are either polluted with pesticides, or gasoline from the streets. And WholeFoods only has conventional Coconuts. I planned on buying a tree, but the company i called uses pesticides... they say only when needed lol i dont want any!!!

  • Boycott Wolfe

  • Coconuts can be used... straight in to the blood. Has this ever been done before? "It has been done in "certain" conflicts and wars in the past but good thing those conflicts ands wars are a thing of the past". You have to love this guy! Why are people donating blood when we have coconut water! LOL.. Love ya' Dave.

  • @eruditionfoods Coconut water was used in blood not as a transfuser but as a hydrator. instead of IV solution, u use coconut water. It was done in pearl harbor i believe on one occasion. It doesn't have plasma in it. it's not a blood substitute its more of a supplement (in addition to)

  • David Wolfe perfectly balances the science and spirituality of food. Most ppl who denounce him don't believe how food can "open your heart" and "bliss you out". These superfoods can give us superior nutrition and help us feel more LOVE, period!!

  • Dave uses "the best day ever" because eating live foods makes you feel vibrant. That is why he has a website by that name. He is very passionate about his beliefs and I respect him for that!

  • prep4md are you too tired to say why you think this is a load of crap? Need one of these drinks to get you going?

  • is there good brand of coconut water (pure) if you can't have them fresh every day

  • I've tried "Nico". It's seems pretty good. There are several brands out there.

  • @aipyor

get young coconuts and open them yourself..the mass produced waters are a scam and have bpa and such in them.

  • @aipyor I've heard good things about VitaCoco

  • my ex spent a week with this loon - after he ate an entire tub of icecream his crew told her that his fave food is LASAGNA - they're trying to get him to cut down for his big OPRAH show (he's very fat) his product ORMIS (90 bucks per bottle) does nothing whatsoever - he takes pride in suckering people and gives us TRULY RAW people a bad name! boycott him and eat veggies instead.

  • David Wolfe, the best salesman ever, no doubt, but how much do we really need these exotic best ever foods. And why must we be tricked by his NLP, in example, why does he keep repeating best ever, best ever? I grew up learning that good sales people were more interested in the money that they were making, then the person to whom is the customer.

  • i agree, u better listen to dr. douglas graham who is not selling you something.

  • I pirated one of his books, bought another simply because the subject matter intrested me. But im definately not looking forward to go buying his products or going to his affiliates. I see the information most of it very good, but I can tell by his tone of voice sometimes that he knows what he will say next, like a salesman with a script

  • @bugsyubsie8 i believe he talks the way he does about the food not because hes a salesperson but because he truely believes in the healing properties and benefitial elements of the foods hes talking about... To anwser your question do we really need these exotic foods in our diet?? heck yeah we do.. why wouldnt we want to incorparate such good and healthy foods in our diets

  • too much chocolate....

  • you can NEVER have too much chocolate!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Much of what Wolfe says is merely opinion and salesmanship. Note that he never brings up scientific research in his 'teachings.'

  • what is the point most scientific research is not accurate and is fake.

  • Raw food, as a lived concept, owes much in the modern period to the great but insulted Aterhov. He was an Iranian Armenian. Plagarism claims has been hurled at Wolfe & Co. A phony, vain, commercialism should not prevent us from respecting the selfless and cheated Iranian.

  • Maybe i miss understood you, but are you saying that promoting raw food is plagiarism?

  • Why not use banana as a base ? I mean, wolfe is just advertising his chocolate once again.. green smoothies are best.

On raw diet I could get rid off asthma and eczema, next are allergies.

  • Bananas are fine, however they are "hybridized", a type of plant which many raw foodists like to stay away from and instead go for the natural original plants.

  • I got in a raw diet after like 4 days felt warmness in my right leg, think it was all the new blood flow it was causing.

  • since when raw strawberries and rasberries are sold in plastic bags???

    or are they frozen?

  • they were frozen, and all strawberries/raspberries are raw, no one cooks them ever.

  • your body produces it.... you don't need to eat it

  • if there's no cholesterol then where the ballz do I get my cholesterol from man ????

Every cell in my body is made up of it along with my brain being the HIGHEST concentration of it.

  • Your body MAKES all the cholesterol it needs, you do not need to consume it from external sources.

  • That's wrong.

  • Yeah, doesnt Coconut produce high cholesterol? i'm sure you cant eat that regularly..so I'm with you 23rd...

  • would organic coconut oil be as good as coconut meat and water. Up in canada, its hard to get fresh cocunot.

    thanks

  • everything this guy makes is the best ever

  • its true . vietnamise used to do it.

ive seen it in a film also :)

  • hmm ive been having these smoothies and i can testify they really do lift you up . they helped me with my energy and weight. i have to try that raspberry in the chocolate! sounds lovely.

  • he claimed that the Moon Landing in 69 was fake

  • Well AMERICANS always have this ego that they are number one. The Russians have had a strong aero space programs. The Russians made it first, but America always wanted to be number 1. It is believed that the moon landing was a movie first, so Russians would not take number one Spot. Russians are wayyy more int

  • Good god this guy is hyper! His smoothies must really work. I wish he'd make me a smoothie.

  • lol check out underground wellness here on youtube

  • sounds.......urm incredible.

    Looooooooool.

  • See David in a new film on natural health watch the trailer here foodmatters[dot]tv

  • Quick Question...

He said you could use tea... isnt tea boiled?

  • you wait until it's cool.

  • naa even water has a "flash point" once you boil it its too late... buuuut you can still make tea without boiling water to its flash point... :P I looked into it

  • Shame, guilt, or fear?? What the hell is this guy talking about? Who says this guy knows anything about health?

  • You can google him and his books if you are truly curious as opposed to skeptical... Some think he's quite a salesman but he has also been a huge positive influence in the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. Consciousness is contagious. Wake up and live.

  • Stop hiding behind some "spiritual" facade and come back down to earth. Firstly, "vegetarians" (or more properly - *carb*atarians) need to stop trying to adopt the word "raw" for what they think they're doing. "Raw" does not describe a high carb/low protein diet. "Raw" means, in addition to salad greens and other plants, raw eggs, raw milk, fish, and other meats too. Yours is still, firstly, a high carb/low protein diet whether your carbs are raw or cooked.

  • Who's hiding? No need for hostility. I prefer the term "live food"... raw is a bit misleading... raw vegan is more appropriate. The semantics are pointless though, it's whatever choices that help you to evolve in a holistic way... sorry if that description is too "spiritual". I only speak from my own personal experience of transitioning from the SAD diet to the lifestyle I have adopted that allows me to thrive and peacefully coexist with the planet and all its inhabitants. Time to go chant...

  • And you don't think "live food" could be misleading? Funny, I don't see this lifestyle "holistic" in anyway. It can only work (keep people alive) if they're living in close proximity to an urban center. It's also anti-social in the fact that it's anti-meat, dairy, fish, etc. At the very least others could accommodate you at dinner by purchasing organic free-range meats as well as other items, but your diet is so limited that you can't go too far from your blender.

  • I respect your right to voice your opinion though it contradicts my own personal experience with live foods as well as thousands of other peoples. I showed my roommates your previous posts and they told me to invite you out for a visit... how's that for anti-social? The lifestyle can be best classified as anti-degenerative disease. Oh and we don't live in or near an urban center (Patagonia, AZ pop. 800) and my diet is anything but limited... though your perspective seems to be.

  • If I did visit I would have to bring a large quantity of beef-jerky, dried-fish, eggs, etc. As my diet also contains "live foods", I'd have little problem eating whatever you ate, but your roommates might not feel as social when I start adding animal protein to the mix. Mind you, my diet is more or less the same as it was during the whole evolution of humanity, while yours is a recent variation of a 20th century fringe diet. Am I wrong?

  • Yes, you're wrong. Take care of your heart, prostate, colon and anything else that might be inflamed in your body. Read the China Study by T. Colin Campbell or if that ones too long give Mad Cowboy by Howard Lyman a go. If your a Christian check out Genesis 1:29 or the Essene Gospel of Peace. If your Buddhist then you're familiar with "ahimsa". Evolution involves change for the better. Yet obesity is rampant, diabetes, heart disease, ect. How evolved is that? Time to evolve brother. God bless.

  • Evolution doesn't just happen by switching your diet (from a mixture of animal fats and protein along with seasonal greens and carbs, to one solely of carbs and sugars) in one generation. I saw a video by Colin Cambell and was unimpressed as he had nothing solid to say. He even shocked me by saying a bold-faced lie about the Price Foudation being backed by factory farms. Obviouely his audience was full of novices. Boy, I wish I'd have been there.

  • @Suthenboy mind expounding on this a bit? :)

  • @yunta51 shut up you ain't got no rawfood mix!

  • Ever heard of food addiction? Its a very common issue today and many people(u maybe know a few) suffer from that. People with food addiction dont overeat raw food they overeat pizza.

  • interesting that you bring that up. They over eat carbs (high energy foods), as opposed to animal protein. "Vegetarians" (carb-atarians) are not much different than the pizza-eater, as they both spike their insulin levels frequently throughout the day, eating fast release energy foods. Granted, the one eating the *cooked* pizza is getting a faster sugar rush than the one eating the *raw* pizza and could tend to gain more weight from it.

  • cooked pizza has more oil that drips off when you eat it. yummyyyy.

well take superfoods cuz it's healthy. i like to eat steak and pizza but superfoods are AWSOME

  • What's a "superfood?"

  • i just tried this, and used the below recipe as a filler, and OMG, delish! Im gonna have one more just to make sure i did it right! LOL

    1c cashews

    1T lemon juice

    1/2t salt

    1/2t agave

    1t lemon zest

    5 cloves of garlic

    1/2c water

Thats what i spread on the Nori, then added your ingredients. thx!

  • I can't get coconut oil and raw cocoa beans in my country :(

  • Move to another country.

  • hahaha do you dont have credit cards and the internet in your country? Hahahaha...you have to get some chocolate, everyone should have some.

  • ok seriously, i hear coconut is good, and its bad, the jury hasn't decided. i wish there was a straight answer already.

  • It's good for you. Use your common sense.

  • David's recommendations stopped me from going bald. Just Goji, spirulina, MSM, plus assorted other ideas he gave me, stopped my hair falling out. I was already half bald, and you can't imagine how hard it is to spread the word! It's like alot of people aren't ready to hear that these nutrient rich foods are really that strong and can have such a profound effect on the human body. Good to see there's alot of raw foodists out there. Thank god for the change we see on this beautiful planet.

  • Check out the incredible video titled,

    protein myth,

By Tim Van Orden, who is a Super healthy Vegan Raw triAthlete. It will TOTALLY change the way you think about Protein and Raw Nutrition !

  • This guy is awesome!

  • Isn't he...love what he does.

  • what about food combining if fats take longer to digest than sugars such as fruits and if eaten in conjunction will allow the sugars to ferment in your body inhibiting nutrient absorption, or so i believe to this point.

  • Funny, when she says "Here come the antioxidants".....because Raw cacao power is all ready the # 1 antioxidant on this planet....what she should have said is "Here come some more antioxidants"....

  • but what about food combining?

  • Conclusion:

I think for staying healthy its not only about raw food its also about excersise and avoiding nicotine and alcohol.

  • why is he using blueberries from packets, which were full of liquid if you look closely aswell .

  • i think that liquid you're talking about is called juice. and the packet is actually a plastic bag used to package products for retail sale.

guess david didnt have time to grow and harvest his own raspberries.

  • I meant, why Didn't he use fresh ones.
