The only problem I see is that legally, he has no claim to the throne, and he just killed the Emperor. The clone armies would turn on him for that crime, and thus it would be safe for the Jedi to return. Even with all that power, Vader alone cannot beat a million fearless soldiers AND a hundred determined Jedi.

@L0ckinh0 No, he wanted to take over, he even TOLD Padme he could over throw Palpatine. He COULDN'T do it in the suit, until Luke provided a good distraction and everything. In a full on fight, Vader would ALWAYS lose, even as a human. Lucas said Palpatine with a Kyber crystal is the most powerful Force user the Galaxy has ever seen. Luke only EVENTUALLY surpasses him.

We see this when anakin says "Im more powerful than the emporer, i can overthrow him" In fact, Anakin would have won but he was so blinded by anger that he jumped without thinking, if he would have lifted his legs he could have killed him. Anakin would also try to eliminate the jedi completely. Yoda would have still gone into hiding, luke would still be luke, but there would be a different enemy.
