He will always be a good friend to me. And I love him. A lot of people think that he's only singing Lady in Red. They don't know him at all. He's the best storyteller I know. Chris, please never stop talking to us!!!!

I've followed since Don't Pay the Ferryman hit MTV. Loved his voice, lyrics n stories. So few musicians use the power of music to teach or retell legends. Thanks for posting it! =^..^=

No wonder then that Chris de Burgh has for many years been a staple of my listening pleasure; he has an amasing talent to musicality, history, fiction and his deep and dark voice has held a tight grip on my heart from when I first heard Spanish Train ~ a Romantic for sure!

So - for myself - I believe the story teller musician is far and away the better musician for being able to convey a narriative and thereby hold my attention so much longer and with so much more dedication to his art than he who can sing a few endearing words of the human spirit.
