Is this video from the old "In Concert" TV Show???...Original Doobie fan, Bought the Vinly Lps in the order that they came out......Great band in the studio and in concert...Check out Crossroads concert on CMT...Wonderful .,,,the boys left look good.....
I was so blessed in the early mid-70s with two uncles and older brothers that turned me onto the Doobies, Fleetwood Mac, Kansas, etc. 45 now and still rockin' my much fatter ass off!
Who was the back up band on this?....The horns & drums/conga's....awesome....what a legendary Bay Area Band....saw them play at Winterland, Day on the Green at the Stick...and at other small local venus...late 60's & 70's........
Love this song! while released in 1973, this video is obviously from the late 90's and this version is really commercialized. Still like this version, just not as much.
I was listening to this on a cd I downloaded from dobie brother greatest hits. like you said man I am getting old in 7 months I turn 58 where has the time gone.
most people would say that the beatles had the two best singers with lennon and mccartney, and that's fine, but the doobies had tom johnston and mike mcdonald and i'll put them up against anyone. also, the bass is killer in this.
Great Song, Great Band, long live Real music! Did somebody say Fruity Loops & Autotune? are instrumental in creating music? Please Punch em in the Face REAL HARD!!
@NatButtaBrotha yeah thats why ppl who make electronic music are called producers, not musicians...there is a lot of cool stool coming out of that genre though depending on what you're into.
remember sitting in back of my moms station wagon in the early 70's listening to this with my hippie uncle. They changed my life..along with Redbone,America,Free,Joni Mitchell,Elton John,Sweet..etc,etc
One of the sweetest, best stories in rock is the rest, recovery and rehabilitation of Tom Johnson. His re-emergence with the Doobs is, and has been, reason to be thankful and just enjoy his immense talent. Thank God Tom is his incredible "old" young self!
Mark Russo, from my hometown of Walnut Creek, CA, is one of baddest-ass sax players on the planet. He absolutely shreds it on his alto sax solo. Nice horn section too -- you just gotta love those Tower of Power horn lines!
the best performance ever!!!

@karmachasescathy Way to stereotype black people, for one. Two, I'm black and I love this kind of music.
Also, Eminem is white. Your argument is now invalid.
