  • Right to Slave Labor.

Sickening what some Americans will buy into. You really think these Scumbags have your best interests at heart? Soon your "right to work" will be 18 hour days, 7 days a week for $1.00 an hour.

  • Yes it is, totally sickening that any American would think he "needed" to be in a Union. Grow a set, and stand up for yourself. They used to be called "Mobster," but Al Capone wasn't sharing the take with the Fed's. Reorganized as "Unions" and giving the Fed's there cut. With that cut they have gained a little control over Washington. Mobsters=1 Feds=0

  • I work in a "Right to Work State" and NO ONE works 18 hr days and the wages are competitive. The difference is that the wage earners get to keep ALL or their wages an don't have to deal with the Unions ripping them off. If there is a "third" person between you and your boss, he is there for one reason, money from you and money from your boss, PERIOD!! My father predicted the fall of the American Auto Industry due to Union Greed many years ago. He died in 1972, but he saw it coming then.

  • Unions had their place in the early industrial age, just as the horse and buggy had a place. Now they are just a bunch of corrupt thugs who take money from the ordinary Joe to lobby the gov't to line their own pockets.

  • and by the way.. if anyone here wonders.. what did unions ever do for me? what has the militant left ever done for me? i have a question.. you like weekends? thank chicago anarchists, 1886.. like NOT working 14 hour days for pennies on the dollar? thank the industrial unions, and their supporting radicals.

i have never seen a whole page of comments from people so eager to remain as slaves,.. so eager to take commands.. get some self respect and END work under command.

  • the point is that unions have done great things for this country and won rights for workers that would not have been possible otherwise, but now they have too much power and actually impede progress. the best examples are in detroit, where gm was run into the ground by too many concessions to unions (in conjunction with other terrible management practives) and where the teachers union forced the government there to turn down a huge donation ($200 million i believe) to found charter schools.

  • false.

too much power?.. almost all of the power unions had was sapped away by compromising with the bosses and politicians unions are designed to eliminate..

and GM? the union should have taken control of the company in 36/37 after the sit down strike.. GM might still be worth a damn with out the kind of things the profit motive created; PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE for one, would never have come about in a 'for use' economic model.

if they had tried to make cars instead of make profit.

  • surely, 60 years of not having bosses, owners, and shareholders living off the sweat of labor would have been something to see.. 60 years of work WITHOUT command.. wow.. but the union compromise has extended slavery that much longer.. next time around (even now GM employees should consider..) workers should seek out an industrial union like the IWW. they wont wimp out when it comes time to take democratic control.. they will help FIRE the boss and realize work without command, without slavery.

  • Newsflash: many, if not most, employees wouldn't have a clue how to work without command, if for no other reason than the fact that the managers are in charge of the design, marketing and distribution. Who can work without somebody knowing what they're building and where it's going? Could they make it work? Maybe, but I doubt it. Besides, the workers don't own the factory- what right do they have to claim what somebody else paid for as their own property.

  • workers DO own the factory,.. whether they know it yet or not,.. just because capitalists arrange other human beings to exploit and dis-empower does not mean that should expect the workforce to continue to buy into that absurd mythology,.. it was built by work sustained by work.. it is more mythology that 'managerial' work depends on a specialized class of 'idea men'.. much of that "work" involves manipulation of the work force,.. the rest they pretend is difficult, to appear useful.

  • Did the workers pay for the factory, or did the investors pay for the factory? Who then, owns the factory- the one who paid for it, or the one who uses it? My answer is that the investors paid for the factory, and that the investors own the factory because they paid for it.

  • i don't see why a democratic people would see that kind of accumulated capital as remotely relevant.. it is casino money.. the building of the factory and the use of the factory implements are actual value added operations.. something has actually been done.. USE should be the measure..

  • Because the corollary to being paid for what you produce is that you have a right to use what you purchase. Alternatively, if someone else wishes to use your property, they must compensate you accordingly. Hence, we have a situation where the labor is owned by one person and the land, buildings and machinery are owned by someone else, because they have been purchased by someone else. There are two solutions: either workers can sell their labor to the capital owners, with the capital owners...

  • ...thus having all claim to the product, since they have now paid for all the resources used to create the product, or alternatively, the workers could rent the capital from the capital owners, and the workers would thus own all the product produced. We generally prefer the former, but the latter has certainly been used, especially in farming. The democratic thing to do is allow people to choose for themselves whether to work for someone else or start their own business.

  • "Who can work without somebody knowing what they're building and where it's going?"

you pretend that the regular workforce cannot do this work,..though they did for centuries.. only the development of modern capitalism divided the work in this way,.. and it has MUCH more to do with maintaining the social stratification provided by the form.. pretending to have special purpose in order to justify living off the work of labor, where value is added.. goodnight capitalism, times up!

  • Fox and Friends should be renamed to

"3 Retards spewing right wing Propaganda." Although Obama's healthcare plan is bs, Fox and Friends is the worst show on cable news. They're all ignorant fools.

  • I disagree, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, etc. are the Kool-Aid drinking idiots. They act as if everything that comes out of Obama's mouth is golden. One even mentioned "feeling tingle run his leg." OMG you Kool-Aid drinkers, just give him a BJ and get over the leftist propaganda.

  • If companies are forced to go union what will happen is companies will leave the US and hire foreign help thus eliminate jobs in this country increasing unemployment making us a 3rd country. AS a result we will become a "nanny state" with the government controlling everything you do. Only the people with wealth will be able to live in comfort.

They are going to out smart themselves.

  • this is easy to avoid,.. do as south korea did ,.. just make capital flight into a capital crime.. bet that cuts down on those thieves running off with the loot.

  • No, then the people with the money go overseas with their money rather than just sending the money overseas. Nobody is going to extradite someone to face execution or life in prison for the crime of taking their own money out of the country with them.

  • sure they would,.. just like they extradite any other thief.. the difference has to do with prevailing winds.. many countries of the world are helpless to really make anti-capitalist changes so long as they are dominated by US military, the wto, the imf, etc.. after all that nonsense has been CRUSHED, no one will recognize wealth usurped by squeezing RENTED HUMAN BEINGS,.. as "their own money".. such a claim will deserve only laughter and handcuffs.

  • Who extradites thieves to face the death penalty? Any rational country would consider that disproportional punishment. Even the Old Testament, which demanded the death penalty for many crimes that many people would never prohibit today, never demanded the death penalty for theft, no matter how egregious. It was punished by a fine, and the worst that could happen was being sold into slavery for seven years to repay the debt if you couldn't pay cash.

  • capital flight, for the purpose of acting in place of democracy and destabilizing economies, was being discussed previously.. not thievery.. that was in reference to extradition law.

and no.. i don't think the death penalty is remotely necessary,.. democratic dissembly of the paradigm would be enough.. unless they are traveling with gold ingots capital ownership depends that other actually believe it was ever theirs to begin with.

the point was,. that was south korea's answer to capital flight.

  • I used to like Obama, but now I detest his underhanded thuggery and assault on our Constitution.

  • UNION are simply, pure corruption! Be there done that!

  • I ahave been a union bricklayer since 1962, but I am ashamed of what "union" means today. Today's "unions" are stalinist "communes" that are a major factor in the ongoing slow death of America.

  • UNIONS are just the mafia reformatted!!! Remember the days when the "Family" went through the neighborhood and collected "funds" for "protection!" If you don't have the balls to stand up for yourself, then I guess you need a Union Boss with a set.

  • I LOVE the screen name! NRA4EVER!!!

  • Rest assure this Health Care Reform is nothing more than a payback bill to all the theives and frauds that got Obama elected. He could care less about our health. This is a scheme to take more of our money and make us think we are going to get better health care out of it. America if you don't get your head out of your butt you are going to turn around someday and not have a clue what hit ya!! Socialism here we come. This is the last free country left and Obama wants to "change" that.

  • Being unionized should be a choice of the employees not forced on employers. Remember with unionization comes increased cost and lower productivity. This will result in higher cost passed on to the consumer and job reductions. Unions have outlived their usefulness that is why there has been such a decline in union membership. Now they have Obama in the palm of their hand to force people to join a union they don't want to join. Unions only protect the problem workers.

  • wow

  • i hate Obama so much now

  • you couldn't be more wrong. we are headed very rapidly to a marxist state. better educate yourself before it's too late.

  • so now what i said no longer appears.. i haven't the vaguest recollection what i had said that i "couldn't be more wrong about"

but lemme take a stab at it.. judging by the couple of morons circle jerking each other in this clip.. i probably said something about.. how, union or not,. workers should consider taking democratic control of their workplace,.. FIRING their lazy grafting bosses and owners.. ooohh! a "marxist state" that would be a start.. to the barricades!

  • The actions of our politicians continues to boarder on Treason against America. They'd rather line their pocket with Bribes from Lobbyiests and Special Interest than doing what is right for America and those that they are sworn to represent.

Too crooked to go after Tort Reform (lose Legal Lobby money) too lazy to go after the Fraud and Abuse (is that Mafia money)? And too in the tank for other Lobby bribes to allow Inter-state competition between the 1,300+ healthcare insuance companies.

  • unions have slipped from 23% to 12% .they are the lackeys of the democrats .most of the green jobs will be unions.unions are what happened to gm ,but the dems bailed the turds out..same with tort reform .there is a code of honor with theives..aint nothing good gonna come out of the gov. but term limits

  • no that's not happen to GM. GM showed a $11 billion profit in 2008, but show a $17 billion profit in 2007. just because the didn't make as much and not more than the year before, they are allowed to claim it as a loss. And it wasn't because of the union. LOl nobody was buying the big SUV's, and that pretty much all they were making at the time. Gas prices is what made GM go down on sells and profit.

  • This kind of crap is exactly why I went to DC 9/12. You want an example of what unions will do for you, just look at Detroit. Enough is Enough.

  • In today's world and labor laws in the US, there is absolutely no need whatsoever for unions. Without a doubt, they are corrupt, completely self serving and unnecessary.

If you dont like the job, benefits, requirements or competition; dont apply for the job. Earn your job, dont picket for it. The American people either directly or indirectly pay for unions; this is one citizen that says enough is enough. Sand on your own as an employee or go flip burgers

  • I was an unionized worker for 18 years. I have seen the corruption, the thuggery, the concept of getting paid without working.

I have seen individual rights being thrown out the door. I have had union stewards bang on my desk and ask why I don't vote the way they tell me.

My rights have been ignored because of my beliefs. Matter of fact, I would have NO rights as an individual if I spoke out against the thuggery and intimidation of a union dictate.

  • Simply speaking forced unionization of healthcare companies only push healthcare costs much, much higher. This means we will go bankrupt even faster than ever. Besides, healthcare workers don't need unions as these employees already have great leverage with their employers due to the fact that healthcare workers are in much demand at current and the foreseeable future. This is just a power grab by the unions for more members and more union dues which we will all pay indirectly.

  • I have nothing against the right to work, and lord knows I'm getting kind of sick of unions myself these days, but isn't it true that grousp like Right to Work Foundation are little more than front groups for corporate America, while they claim to represent the little guy? I mean, I'd be fine if they were just regular conservative groups led by individuals unaffiliated with corporate leaders, but it seems like the right to work and anti-efca activism is little more than just defending business.

  • Enforced unionization = much more government control = tyrannical rule.

We MUST stop about 100 parts of the bill that are WRONG!

DUMP HR3200, and START OVER with REAL REFORMS!!

    CORRUPTION must be stopped!
