  • Why I can't keep two lovers at same time, oh why ??

    Slide rule and HP-35 ... :-)

  • I very much appreciate this tribute to the HP-35. I recently purchased one and I use it daily in all of my calculations. I'm glad there are people like you that appreciate this wonderful device just as I do.

  • Back than Steve Wozniak worked for HP in the development department and was co-inventor of this calculator.

  • I have been a life long fan of HP calculators. Between my father (who is no longer alive) and myself, we have bought a large number of them - 45, 19C, 41CV, 15C, 28C, 28S and 48GX. All are still used and much treasured. The only single downside - they are all incredibly slow, but then they are way quicker (and more accurate) than I would ever be with my slide-rule or log-tables. Long-live the HP calculator and Reverse Polish Notation. Thank you for posting this video.

  • Excellent video sir! A true inspiration. I purchased my 1973 model HP35 from my bro-in-law when I was in high school, he had paid $400 and waited many months to get it but when he upgraded he sold me his HP35 for $50. That HP35 took me through high school and into college and is still working today. I also used an HP29C, HP41C, HP11C, HP20S, HP49G, HP30S, HP9G, HP9S, HP10S, HP33S, HP50G, and HP35S, some that I have much more sentimental feelings for than others. Give me RPN or give me death!

  • I love my HP 35s!

  • Fantastic video, thank you for the tribute. To anyone who has claims that "HP only made crap" after the 32sII - I dare you to try the 35s (came out in 2007) and then repeat that statement.

  • I really enjoyed this. Thankyou.

  • Much respect for you sir and well done!

  • Since the last "real" HP-calculator (the HP32sII) HP only made crap. I understand that the calculator business is not worth any big effort nowadays. But maybe it would have been better to quit for good instead of gambling away the reputation HP once had in the engineering community. The glory HP days are gone- Like the HP35 (i do have one) retired the slide rule, the laptops and palms retires the electronic calculator.

  • i have an HP 33s, and when you understand RPN mode, you actually learn to hate all the other calculators, (T.I. Casio, etc...). HP calculators are just way better than anything else.

  • Nice one, once you use a hp calculator and rpn you are smitten for life.......Hope I around when I'm your age to talk about it.

  • I honor you sir

  • I work for HP and this video is very interesting! Congratulations!
