Sukayle...no Tanja hasn't double-crossed him. If you look at the elevator scene again, you will see that when Elizabeth gets in that she has a briefcase in her hand. Then she pretends to feel faint, and that's when the briefcases are swapped over :-)

Luise says that the birthmark is indeed strange, but that one could have something similar and that Maria just proves that point. Leo says 'what Maria' and that the real Maria Galdi is dead for over 20 years and who the hell is Luise secretary if she is not his mother. Luise says that if Maria is his mother, why didn't she say so.
