I'm a City boy but I LOVE Country Music with a passion but unfortunately today's Country Music HARDLY sounds Country at all. I recently stum bled upon Becky Hobbs probably through Sky.fm Country Channel. I now LOVE Beckky Hobb's Country Music.

By the way if you like this Country Song then you will probably also like "Justin Trevino-Texas Honky Tonk" sounds VERY similar. :)

Why Didn't Becky Hobbs ever really got popularized with her songs in the 80's ??

I really Loved her type of Voice style.

But the County Chart never really made her popular like....Patty Loveless, Reba MacEntire, Kathy Matea etc, etc, etc

@Mail345 She refused to buckle to the country music industry. She was a rebel, and as a result she was blacklisted. Good for her for sticking up for her principles. While she was not a huge success, she did OK by herself and she probably feels better about herself than most other female country artists.

Now, that's how country should sound. She is a great entertainer and cute doesn't even start to cover it. I danced with her a couple times in Nashville about 15 years ago and she's also a great dancer. It's too bad she never had more commercial success. She deserved it. I'm glad to see she's still working the road and just as good as always.
