One question perhaps the arctic team should`ve thought...
How does a dog know it`s being shot at and to run away? Shouldn`t it just sort of stand about until it actually gets hit. Aren`t all animals the same? I know animals RUN when they hear a bang and maybe the crack near them, but they don`t know to run AWAY from a gun.
That should show the dog is more than just a plain dog.
@PLTINSAIN well, you have to rembember that not only is he in a helicopter (witch is moving at a hight speed up and down and side to side.) but the dog is running as well and is unpredictable when it moves, its hard enough trying to shoot an animal thats running, for example, try shooting a deer or bird thats trying to escape.
It`s funny with you guys who`ve seen the prequel and know what`s going on.
With us older ones we only ever knew about this one and wondered why the guys were shooting at an `innocent` dog for no reason. To us it`s like, "You bastards! Stop shooting!"
@seafireliv For norwegians the plot is pretty much given away in the start. I loved it anyway back then. The prequel didnt change that. But sometimes I wish I couldnt understand any norwegian just so I could excperience it the way it was possibly ment to be.
Ennio Morricone's musical brilliance really added to this cinema 80's remake gem. Many don't realize that this film didn't receive real true acclaim because unfortunately it was released only but within weeks ( I believe 3 weeks "after" ) E.T. was released back in 1982. I feel it was a film that really propelled sci-fi and horror films a step further. Honestly I have always had this film a the top of my movie's list. Such originality in both OST and theatrical performance. Amazing!
They got a movie mistake in the helicopter scene u see lars shooting the dog but then after they land u see matias wearing the same clothing as lars and the pilot was lars even though he was the one shooting the dog
