  • fingers! fingers! no one better than jake and the lads . would love to

see this line up again - jake henry ali and jim the best line up and and i seen em all even brian fallon . best band ever

  • played this and it made me smile !!! my dad god rest his soul, hated me being into punk , especially when i pierced my nose with a safty pin , and wore it lol

  • Shit version of a masterpiece what a shame.

  • fahk this takes me back till i was 9yrs old, still captures me in the same way it did back then

  • The bass is a Guild B302. I've got the six string with the same body shape (Guild S series).

And SLF are still going strong, go see them.

  • The audience is DEAD still appart from the two people at the front...

  • @l0rdmuff

Its a TV studio audience, probably not fans

  • grew up with slf.still awesome

    jake burns a god

  • They sounded this great when they played last year ( 2008) in Sydney. Best gig I've ever seen. !

  • Break out and leave this land behind

Break out and see what I can find

  • The bass is a guild not sure of what model !

  • its a guild pilot... i think im pretty sure.

  • Aaaanybody know what bass he's using here?

  • I'm going to take a guess and say that the Bass player is using a Rickenbacker.

  • classic video :D

    SLF STILL BURNING!

  • REAL BAND - REAL MUSIC - END OF.

  • ist a very cool punkband

  • ROCK ON and ON and ON and ON!

  • Tin Soldiers and Wasted Life should be required listening for US Army grunts who are unfortunately fed on a diet of Goebbels-like propaganda and think that people actually respect them saying things like "Burn motherf**cker burn" as they wander through their newly acquired Texaco gas station known as Iraq...

  • thank you god for youtube

  • lol, I love that commenent +1

  • I have always loved "tin soldiers". A great song of a great band, and thanks for posting it.

  • Are they touring? I would go and see them any day. And, no, I heard SLF by chance and have been a fan since. When I put on HANX my wife of 20-years became an instant fan.

  • Check the site for tour details ... (Cant post the url on here because it wont let you but just google 'Stiff Little Fingers' and it's the first site there! PS. Another great band from that era still touring are The Alarm. Well worth going to see.

  • The Alarm 1970's ?????

  • Smartass. :-) The Alarm were an early 80's band. IMHO The Fingers were also at their peak around that time. So, valid point re 'era. Alright mush?

  • I first these guys in the early 80's and was blown away. Unfortunately, they were only together a few years. I'm confident, had they stayed together they would have rivaled The Clash. Also, listen to the live album 'HANX' you can get it on ebay on CD. It's one of the best 'live' albums I own.

  • Eh? They are STILL together today man. And sound bloody great live. As for Hanx, I bought it when it came out. As you say its fantastic. Up there with my other fav album The Stranglers 'X-Cert'.

  • what does it matter, they were and are a brilliant band musically and lyrically.stop trying to force labels on them and just enjoy

  • Of course SLF is punk!! Anybody who says otherwise is WRONG!

  • Not sure how the thread started, but this was the first band I ever saw. And this WAS punk.

  • It still is too! Long live SLF!

  • This still sends chills up my spine...after all these years. It was such a wonderful time. I wish I could go back and experience this time once again.

  • punky pop?! no, they were certainly a punk band.

  • Hi superpat89,

Not wanting to cause offence but why "certainly a punk band"?

  • It's not like they went mainstream or anything. I think pop punk is...Green Day...Or...Offspring.

A lot of different people have different views on what punk music is, and I consider Stiff Little Fingers punk rock.

  • I reckon this is earlier than '80, deffo 79

  • fuckin magic.simple as! saw em last week in manchester

  • haha jake looks like eric foreman from that 70s' show lmso

  • Wee. I like! :)

  • great clip!!! thanx!!!!

  • Excellent!! Jake, Ally, Henry & Jim..."Nobody's Heroes" Malvern Winter Gardens GO FOR IT tour. Fantastic!!

  • I love rare footage on Youtube!

  • Brill great group Alternative Ulster still one of my favs.

  • WHERE THE FUCK DID YA FIND THESE BABYS.....! FINGERS ON FIRE!
