Watever the brand !! Its the guy siting at the CPU that makes it sound good !!! Reason as all the basics but no pre mastered sound!! The good thing about reason is that if you learn it! You will know wath you are doing in a real studio! It's like hardware ! But vst gives you more presets !!! Amen

I would suggest using a DAW of your choice along with Reason, slaved from the DAW. And then with the DAW you can also cap the audio from a synth/drum/guit and use it alongside your Reason channels. And I cannot stand F(t)L.

There's a reason for Reason! Comparing those 2 is a major insult to Reason. Although i think FL is nice for starters... except the cruel interface theveg99 mentioned already. I disliked FL from the very first moment. And btw nice track!!

Were you using Loops or using an acutal synth for the effects? Oh yeah how did you get your sound on reason to make wet ( as in echo ) like the treble.

Pretty easy... High pass filter. The levels are odd on this mix. Man I could point to a million things wrong especially since reason is easy to use. The thing the composer on this did right is all changes that keep us involved. I'd be gone right now if it wasn't for that. One thing I can hear though that is a huge no no, he/she built this off of a demo's song sound called Turbotito. It might be just a similar synth setup but this songs under melody has a close base to the demo.

LOL, this is no demo track as you say. I never even look at those things. This track is way way more complex than any of the demos that ship with Reason 4. I always start from scratch.. a bare bones rack that I designed to make it quick to get things together. I never ever use factory presets.. all sounds are created by hand. I would be happy to send you the .RPS file so you can have a look.

. I would be surprised if you could make heads of it. Yes its not perfect, but not bad for a 100% Reason production. Please have a look at another vid I have called Inside Your Radio its a new release I have out on Addictive Vibe Records. I used Reason with that as well. I would love to get your feedback on that one. And as I said I can e-mail you the .RPS of this track if you would like to compare it to the demo track you were talking about.

Oh ok, so thats the plug in name folks. You see I make my own sounds most of the time so yeah... Thats why I heard it but I never used it. I use FL Studio anyway and Reason 4.0 for the samplers Ableton Live 7 for recording and I'm happy with that set up.

I played with FL back in 2001.. I found the interface GARBAGE! Reason is like virtual hardware and that is a fantastic layout for people who actually want to compose MUSIC. It's not easy and not everyone will be good at it, but the control Reason gives you over FL makes me laugh at people who say FL is better than Reason! Its NO contest Reason wins hands down!

@Capeau both of you are wrong. listen to SKREAM a dubstep producer. uses only FL 9. and reason will never ever ever be in the too old position. reason is a fucking program and a half reguardless if there isn't any eye candy. i use reason, and i love it. its still my favorite program to date theres just no fucking about. but yeah. really theres no point in saying which is easier or better its whatever your preference is. nothing else.

Sounds are not to loud. I think that's perfect. Then it's more for me to mix and I can get exactly the results I want. More work space. I'd rather turn the volume of the sound down, than having to turn it up and get bad quality.
