There's some pattern in it the more society is strict if it comes to skin-ship between genders/ sexes the more people, especially males become affectionate toward they own gender. It's like safety exit to not be emotional frustrated since we all need skin-ship and love.
In western world guys can hug and kiss they girlfriends in public and it's really common, not mention different attitude of western societies toward sex .
The thing is that all kids in the world show they affection the way that they were treated by their parents - so usually hugs and kisses. When they grow up they adapt to society - in most of western cultures males show they feelings toward each other in less affective way - words, patting shoulder, bear hugs. In Korea showing feelings openly to someone of same gender is taken as something normal so "childish" hugs, kisses and cuddling stay at hi place.

its just that in korea, most people take friendship, brothership, and sistership very seriously and so it is important. they always like to fool around and make fun of eachother and stuff. its a type of communication that kindda signifies their bond. hope i'm right (cuz im not korean) ut this type of love is present in almost every boy/girl group. hugs kisses holding hands= all normal =)

why should it be gay when people hug and kiss each other?
we keep demanding for the equality of the sexes so we should only expect that not only girls and homosexuals hug and kiss in a sibling manner but grown men as well. machismo is not the only thing that makes a man.
regardless if this boy group or just a bunch of random kids, the expression of friendship, kinship, love, brotherhood is universal.

ss501 are totally not gay...it's hard to see guys to have such a good friendship.usually guys doesnt get so close to each other unless they are blood related or they know each other for a very very long time..ss501 brothership and friendship is very close....it's hard to find this type of relationship nowadays...
knowing each other for so many years and helping each other.....ss501 is the most humanly boy idol group i had ever seen...they are not afraid to show who they are....ss501 hwaiting!!!

i dnt think its gay, because they have been living with each other under the same roof for so many years, so, of course they're gonna grow a brotherly bond. i think if you see this in countries like america, australia, england etc. it would be considered gay, but i think in asian countries its not. also khj ran away from his family bcuz they didnt want him singing, now he lives with ppl who accept him so i think hes trying to do some bonding like he wouldve done with his family
