are you fucken serious you fool they are all on the same side , wake up the real story is your president has allowed an unconstitutional attack on Pennsylvania students . and violated the posse comitatus act. by putting troops on our street under a plan bush sighed and he WONT CHANGE because thay are both puppets. wake up tool.
Maybe. But till then I'll just wonder why the treasury of our United States was exhausted on a war half of us didn't believe in or sanctioned by Congress, and why you can have the audacity (or the balls) to tittle-type on your computer without thinking about this point, and dare make it about Republicans vs. Democrats.
Like send our troops to fight for resources by using the greatest terrorist attack in our nation's history to give reason to an invasion of foreign soil without the consent of Congress or even half of the people it governs..oh..wait..hold on..
One of the most amazing things about Obama is that...not only was America supportive of him...but all around the world people were praying that this man would win. I live on a little island in the caribbean (st.lucia) and there were telivisions set up around my school for Obama's inauguration. They stopped all the afternoon classes just so that we could witness it. I think its obvious that Obama will make a great difference.
Dude... I almost wrote you directly to make sure you know how epic and well done this really was. Only reason I didn't is that I noticed you keep up on your video comments.
Please keep making more motivational movies for the sake of our country. Every little bit helps. It's saddening to see this only has 3,000 views.
Thanks; I really appreciate your comment. I'll probably make more videos soon. I made 3 for the campaign season and this last was my last one then. Your encouragement means a lot to me. Feel free to pass the vid on.
Anyone know the name of the song that is playing while Obama speaks in this video? I know that the first song is Hyperpower by NIN but yeah I want to know what the second song in the video is thanks.
The first part is indeed Hyperpower. The 2nd half is also from year Zero; it's the piano track only from 'Another Version Of The Truth', last half of the song. All of these were mixed down from the DVD-ROM of the multitracks nin made available: Y34Z3R0R3M1X3D. This info is also in the last frame, over the FDR sample, at 3min58sec.
Sarah Palin seems to be deranged and jsut as bad as Cheney!! At least Bush is honorable enuf to take the slack for the snakes in his White House - ie. Cheney, Rummy, his dad, etc.
We did it! We did it together. It's the only way we could have done it. It's the only way anything truly important gets done. Together.
We already know that the real work can only be done together. Together, we must reject hate wherever we see it and point the way to a greater vision. United we stand. Divided...
We will not be divided by fear or hate. Let's promise this to ourselves, each other, and those who suffer under the confusion of hate.
Good work my fellow Dems. Together we have defeated the third Bush term and destroyed the Reagan era forever. Let us never allow anymore murderous neocon fascists get their hands on power ever again. We must all demand the Republican party return to its roots if they ever want to be taken seriously again. For now though we move forward with the change we need with our new and better president Barack Obama!
Am I the only one a little concerned of the possibility of violence occurring after the election is over. No matter who wins I can see memers of ether side taking actions against the opposite side.
Obama wins = All the hatred shown in this video explodes.
McCain wins = At this point, poles showing Obamas pretty much won now, many will only believe the election was stolen. Will people be passive about it this time?
Am I just being paranoid? Or is my pessimistic nature just geting to me?
To have stirred all this up as they did makes all your fears here a genuine risk. That's why the Orwellian mixing of these fears that the McCain/Palin campaign has done is so evil.
It's certainly clear (and I'm very thankful for the clear view that Obama is well ahead in the polls) that if McCain pulls 'another '51/49', then we will know we experienced our last truly free election in the US long ago (1996?). But Barack will win. And then we will move forwards to unity however we can.
No, I'm also worried about violence after the election. Fear often leads to violence. I'm pissed that the McCain campaign has tried to imply that Obama is a terrorist.
If Obama becomes president, there will still be a ton of Americans who have been misled to believe there is a dangerous man leading our country. If McCain and Palin care about the well-being of Americans, they should stop filling them with unnecessary fear. America is scared enough already.
Been nearly 2 weeks and potential threats are surfacing. More than any other President Elect in the past. It was if McCain won that I though it might be immediate. I felt Obama's win would be a slow boil. It wold be almost 3 months till he officially took office after all. With Conservative talk and news shows continuing to fan the flames of fear, and the fact hes black, Obama might be under treat of violence during his whole presidency. More than any President ever has
Nope, and you're right. That's been one of the things in all this that's both a challenge and a promise: Barack inspires us to hold ourselves to a higher level than the smears the other side indulges in. Principles actually matter.
The only thing I've removed is someone's ad for their nudie site. And that's just plain spam.
excellent, excellent video. now, i while i agree with the point made here, i dont agree with the fact that people of muslim/arab identity are being labled as bad. However, the GOP has done this intentionally. Democrats have not. Its just a matter of clearing things up and making it known that regardless of race/religion/status, we are all good people.
Agreed. Which is why the act of coaxing and mixing these things in their audiences is such a crime against humanity on the part of McCain/Palin. I chose to represent that part in the video, rather than avoid it.
How will these wounds be healed after the election? McCain doesn't care. Palin is already running for 2012, and she actually embraces this vileness wholeheartedly. Our work is cut out for us.
Yesterday I was talking about my issues on this Dark negate speak this at work. Speaking about the almost subliminal programing to associate being Arab and Muslim as being inherently evil By McCain/Palins campaigning. While trying to explaining my point instead of saying Arab, !TERRORIST! slipped out. Half a heartbeat after I was so horrified at what I'd just said. So ashamed that I somehow allowed all this thinly veil hatred to subliminally creep into me. Even now I am sick to my stomach.
America is a country with a necessary separation of Church and State, and is founded on human equality. People mean harm to other people not on the basis of race/religion/status, but based on hatred.
It's been said: "If you have no enemy within, then the enemy without can't hurt you."
The first thing -we- need to do as a nation is unify. Not divide. We're all Americans; and America shares this world with others than ourselves.
This is a very powerful vid. A reason to question what we see and hear from our candidates, what message are they really putting out there. Samirockss your rights in theory but in reality people are very afraid of "Arab" and "Muslim". So for a fear based campagin its perfect. Its time we all started to question the media, propaganda and think for ourselves.
I'm sorry man but this is just wrong. You put words like "Arab" and "Muslim" among bad words Obama was accused of as if being Arab or Muslim is bad. I'm Arab and I'm Muslim and this upsets me. I know you didn't notice that, I don't blame you, I blame the media that made things like these go unnoticed.
You're a moron, thats the whole point of the vid. It points out that these mouth breathing idiots are afraid of "arabs" and "muslims". They are led to believe that they are evil and trying to undermine everything America is based on.
I don't agree with this one bit, but you sure do make a good case for it.
Sam, thanks for pointing this out. Those people had it right who said that I am trying to point out how wrong it is for all these terms, good and bad, to be mixed together into the same hate-filled result. Sometimes we have to turn up the stones and look underneath without flinching, even just to consciously reject it. The level of hate and fear and racism that the McCain/Palin campaign has coaxed out now is completely destructive and has to stop. [contd]
My own view on the need for different races and religions and worldviews to live in peace along with their differences lies in the 'CoeXisT' symbol near the end. If we don't learn how to do it, we're in deep trouble as a country and world.
Thanks again for your note. It's wrong for what should be valid terms to be mixed in mouths of hate with racial slurs and insults, but that is what is happening. We have to see it, and know it, to reject it and choose another path.
[concl'd] This video is meant to help turn the minds of someone confused and shaking on that edge, as well as bring solidarity to all of us who reject that path of hate and fear.
McSame and Palin are disgusting candidates. Garbage candidates. Barry O is definitely not the messiah nor will he bring any radical change to Washington but I'll take him over two thoroughly corrupt pieces of garbage any day of the fuckin week.
Oh, wow everybody says they heard peaceful nice calm demonstrators at the rally... except for the Scranton Times. The other newspapers asked people at that rally "did you hear any of this stuff?" and they said "uuuum.... no."
These are not isolated incidents we're concerned about, though. Videos and reports of these things are all over the place. 2 days ago, 2 neo-nazis were found planning a mass killing spree and assassination attempt. That's just absolutely the wrong side to be on. Period.
how sad. we all hoped for a liberal and we got this weak kneed president. i thought he was going to be the bobby kennedy we never had.
