  • A good explanation and demonstration. I've done all this myself too. (see my NWSP videos here on Youtube)

  • Hmm. The original WiiMote only had acceleromoters and a sensor bar no gyroscopes but had good tilt control. Wonder how it managed it.

  • question> inside these IMU sensors there is a motion processor. i bought 2 of these, i'd like to get the built in DMP to work. how could i program those?

  • Nice video! Thanks!

  • Interesting...

  • Excellent tutorial! Very educational and insightful. But why is the electronic graphical representation of the device a red and green nutsack?

  • Sure there are longer and more detail explanations, but this is nice and clean and better yet easy to understand for anyone. THANKS!

  • Excellent tutorial on the subject!

  • note the significant amount of drift in horizontal rotation with the gyros on. at 2:15 the neutral position is correct, but at 2:46 it's way off.

  • so thats how wiimotion plus works...

  • awesome! I want an IMU remote for my PC :) Does the new Sony Wand use this same tech? I'm assuming it does. Nintendo didn't do a very good job of explaining WHY and HOW the Motion Plus is better. I thought for sure the Sony Wand just owned their asses until I saw this video..

  • Very cool. I wanted to check this out after i found out that InvenSense are the ones making the Wii motion plus gyroscope.

Seems like there is going to be a lot of improvement over just having the standard Wiimote accelarometer.

  • Hello Cami39, Thanks for this Video, it was very informative. Its always nice to see the visual difference of Gyro result and Accelerometer, gives us a better understanding. Thanks.

  • Is this Gyro already in HV production or still R&D?

  • The gyro is in full production. Go to our company website for more info.

  • Thank you for showing us. I was impressed. May I know how much it is?

  • You can get more info in our gyros , visiting our website. The price is $40 for small quantities.

  • The video is talking in general about an accelerometer and a gyro. The gyro is InvenSense's dual axis integrated gyroscope. For more information about our gyroscopes please visit our website. Let me know if you need any other information.
