I've bought these perfumes from the dollar store. they smell exactly the same and ive never had a problem with one. yes sometimes they fade faster but i'd rather touch up now and then instead of paying 80 dollars for a perfume.
@Slenergetic actually your wrong the dollar store DOES not sell these they sell the bottles in diferent designs, in different packading, that have clearly written on the label "Compare to[name of fragrance]" those are legit and just have more alcohol in them. I came here thinking i was puitting piss on my self but this is about importted wana be look alike blackmarket street dealer shit(that sells for like $10-$20), a reputable dollar store doesn't resell that shit so we're safe.
Check out stolenstyleblog.blogspot.com for a discussion of counterfeit fashion and perfume. This is a great video informing consumers about the hidden dangers of buying perfumes from disreputable vendors.
I think the reason they use goat urine is not only because it creates that yellowish brown colour but also acts as a preservative. But why goat? Why not cat? cow? dog? horse?human?
Errr using the George Bush TERRORIST trick doesn't work. Thanks for demopnstrating how s--t your journalism is and that you have no objective reporting once again. Propaganda at it's best!
Ok so buying drugs contributes to terrorism. Buying illegal guns contributes to terrorism. Now perfumes contributes to terrorism. WTF does not contribute to terrorism??? You know i remeber my history decently........and in the 40's and 50's we had the red scare.
Yet another bullshit lie to start the famous qoute. "YOUR PAPERS PLEASE"
i'll tell u what perfume is got to do with terrorism its kinda stylish to link anything to terrrorism so next time your cup of tea dont taste good go to afganistan with an ak47 and a pg tips t shirt. world is becoming bull .n e way when a perfume is 2 cheap think fake.
I went to a fragrance warehouse, which they had cheep unknown designer fragrances and then behind the counter they had good fragrances.
I bough my marc jacobs parfume behind the counter and everything. It was perfectly wrapped and stuff. But when i put it on, the smell tends to fade fast, does that maybe mean its fake or something cause i didnt buy it at a proffesional well known store.
another stupid Australian current affairs story. It makes no sense at all! it goes from perfume imported from china to a Chinese person selling factory seconds, training camps in Afghanistan, to terrorists selling perfume then the 9/11 attack.
Also the stupid use of words like " war path" "horrifying" and "shocked" in a topic like this.
Typical aussie news coverage unprofessional, useless, misleading and exaggerated.
@perfumecomau curent affairs programmes here are the same, exaggerating and pretending to care about our health etc when really they are thinly veiled government run/funded state owned corporations like the BBC.

i trust in amazon. not amazon's marketplace, mind you, but purchasing DIRECTLY from the Amazon warehouse. I've ordered some from them and have had no problems.
Yes true, many online stores sell fakes and old stock, but not all. Just choose a reputuable online store. Look for the bigs ones, those with a street address (not post office box & mobile phone number only) and make sure they have a REAL shop too. Good returns policy and plenty of customer testimonials. If you're rich though, and have plenty of time then stores like Macys will glady take your money! :-)
My wife lives in Melbourne and only buys her perfumes from this crowd...you can be sure it's the real thing! Sometimes you see chemists and others selling huge piles of boxes full of perfume! Are they the real thing?

The moral of the story is: Don't buy fragrance for a fraction of the retail price from a shady asian woman at a street stand.

Hi jgirlfromca,
It depends on the packaging and the names they use. If they're too close to the original brands they can be sued.

It could still be a fake even if wrapped. Or old stock. That fragrance should absolutely NOT fade for at least 4 hours, so something is not right.
