  • How long does a right rear tire typically last?

  • Like most Sprint Cars there good for probably 2-3 heat cycles.

  • Afterthought:They may have plenty of tread on them after 2-3 heat cycles, but they still lose their grip, because they get hard (especially with the harder compound "spec.tire" they run). Winged Sprint Cars (regardless of engine size, or spec. tire compound) are generally even tougher on the Left Rear than the Right Rear, because of the all the downforce and softer springs they use to keep the Left Rear planted in addition to the excessive Tire Stagger they use (compared to a Non-Wing Sprinter).

  • Follow-up: Some Sprint Car clubs have a "spec-tire" they have to run (like this 305-CI Club). The World of Outlaws do not have a "spec-tire". They can run any compound they want on any corner of the car. Those guys will go through at least two sets of left and right rear tires a night (at least two), depending on track conditions, chassis set-up, driving style, and how they mix and match their tire stagger over the course of the night

  • @jtburckley those guys put on one hell of a show when they came to lexington nebraska
