makeup tutorial: beachy smokey eye w/ ELF minerals

i brought six E.l.f Mineral shadows and they are very pretty but very messy, i dont know how to use them correctly, when i do it, it looks really messy and i get so frustrated, i have glamorous, socialite, outdoorsy, earthy, elegant and dreamy, can you help me create a "nice" look with these colors? what am i doing wrong, please help me :-(

@songbirdsongstress25 with mineral eye shadows make sure to use some sort of "base" that's a little bit sticky so they have something to grab on to! this helps with the messiness! i will work on a tutorial using those colors for you! : )

@gpworx i'm sorry you feel that way. i'm just a 19 year old college student who enjoys makeup & obviously is no where near a professional. of course i would love to learn more & perhaps improve my "technique" so if you have any tips for me they of course are welcome. i'm still in my learning stages so if you could point me to what exactly i was doing wrong that would help me improve for future tutorials if you don't mind sharing. i hope you enjoyed this video any way! : )

Wild is one of my fave colors. I've found that it's basically a matte w/ glitter, but the glitter can be blended out.

I love the colors you used for this! I like bright eyeshadows but often find it difficult to wear without it being too much, but I think this is very wearable :) Also I just bought a bunch of ELF mineral eyeshadows the other day for the first time after hearing a lot of people talk about the product, so I'm really excited to get them! Then I can try this...

@Vanessaaa1717 aw well thank you! i use the aveeno positively radiant line that you can get at the drugstore! i use the cleanser every day, then a more intense scrub every few days, and then the moisturizer every night. it's a great line, i love it! : )
