ok yes I have to say this. I yes she has a voice like and angle with skills that can match with the best. but, (this is where people think I am a hater and I trying not to be, I did buy her album) I don't agree with her singing THIS song. The song Memory from CATS is a song that NEEDS SOUL. That song has to have a fire that can only come from TRUE hardship. she although it hurts saying this doesn't have that kind of pain at age 9.
It's tough enough for her recite songs from memory such as Operatic Arias, Music Theater, Pop, Broadway. When her lungs increase in size, there you will see the
required "Soul" and "acting" that meets your standards
yes I am, I have about 15 years as a vocalist. and I know that she may not have the lugs for it that is not what I see though. you can tell she at some points with her reactions to the song are just that a song to her. if you check :37 to :48 , that is what I am talking about there not passion in that part it looks to me like she thinks "well i know this but i don't get it" she can sing I give her that but not this song not that young anyway.

Fantastic even at 9 yrs-old. THis is not an easy song and she goes down and gets those low notes as well as soring up to the very high ones. What a range she has! What a stage presence.! What a talent!

The most impressive part when singing this song is the verse with the low notes. If I'm not mistaken, I believe many pro's transpose the verse with the low notes to a higher key (or skip the verse altogether) as this verse is very hard to sing. Jackie at nine sings the low verse.
She has perfect pitch you can hear her being right on the money with her intervals. She goes a little flat sometimes but that's because her lungs are not supporting her voice yet. She still hits the notes exactly right though.
She is SO incredibly talented!! I'm 13, and I take voice lessons, and I sing this sort of stuff, but I'm pretty sure I'm not even CLOSE to her phenomenal skill!!!

Just remember that hard work can pay off. So keep your head and your confidence and why not try to learn from Jackie! @adamtylerisom Well, you have to remember that this concert was in Dec 2009, after her Prelude to a Dream self-published CD was out. So she did have some voice "coaching", not training, off and on before this. However, it was not a constant stream of coaching. Most of her ability is all natural with her own self-training using the CDs of Sarah Brightman, her true mentor.
she is so fortunate to have parents with the resources to nurture her dream.
